Part 11

I just stood, back against the door, him inches away from me, not knowing what to do. Do I move closer? Do I push him away? Do I leave the bathroom? What do I do? That's when my thoughts stopped. 

He leaned forward and placed his lips on mine, gently and slowly giving me room to push him away if I wanted to. I was not going to instead, I kissed him back. He took that as an invitation and his hand on my jaw tilting my head up towards him. At this point, I didn't care if Quackity found us or not and I'm pretty sure Sapnap didn't either.

We continued to lock lips as I moved my fingers through his hair until neither of us had any breath left. When we both pulled away the confident smile was the one on his face, not the nervous one and that only made me smile even brighter.

We escaped the bathroom, his hand pulling mine to the escalator and then just walking to the Arcade. When we got there, everyone else including Quackity was just sat in the car game seats once again, watching us as we walked towards them.

"You were supposed to come and find us Quackity", I said trying to play it off.

"It's been 30 minutes since the start of the game, where were you two, I checked the entire mall twice"

"Hiding", Sapnap answered bluntly, "That is how the game works"

"Yeah well you're supposed to try and get back here too!", he shouted. Everyone laughed at Quackity's frustration over a game made for children and Karl kept giving me a look as if he already knew where we were.

We all got bored of the game after the first round and it was getting late so we decided on going home, although Karl insisted on driving back with me when he came with Quackity.

"I can practically feel you staring at me, Karl", I told him turning to look at him for a quick second and then looking back to the road.

"I think you aren't telling everything there is to tell", he spoke slowly and the grin on his face was sly.

"Tell me what you think", I tried to answer obliviously.

"Well, you and Sapnap got distracted if you know what I mean", he used his fingers to make quote marks when he used the word 'distracted'.

I didn't confirm or deny his suspicions, or so I thought I didn't.

"So I'm right", he laughed, "Come on then tell me what happened", he clapped excitedly.

"Nothing we were playing the game and he pulled me out of Quackity's sightline", I shrugged sounding as boring as I could.

"And then?...", Karl wasn't giving up.

"Fine, and then he kissed me", I kept my tone the same, acting as if I wasn't screaming with joy on the inside. Karl knew I liked Sapnap and that's probably why he was so happy for me.

"Well I have full faith in this and I am now giving myself the task of making sure this happens", he smiled at me with less excitement and just more genuinely, he really just wanted me to be happy and he's known me for like three days. He was already one of the best friends I'd ever had.

The rest of the week went by in a blur and the game was this Friday coming, today was Saturday. The boys continued to involve me in their group activities and George had even invited me out to get food with him one night, they really were amazing.

I walked to the kitchen counter where I had left my phone whilst I watched a film in the living room. It was going off rapidly and had just started ringing, I had multiple messages for the group chat and Karl was ringing me. I answered and put the phone on loud speaker placing it back on the counter and walking to the fridge.

"Hello?", I said grabbing a punnet of strawberries from the fridge and shoving one into my mouth after removing the crown. (Stem of the strawberry cuz I'm smart and know the actual name, It's not like I just googled it *nervous laughter*)

"Hiiiii", Karl practically screamed down the phone.

"How can I help you on this fine evening, good sir?"

"Is it okay if I come over, I'm bored and want to watch Disney moves but no one will watch with me", he put on a sad voice and I could see him pouting his lip in my head.

"I would be honoured, and I'm pretty sure that we have a screen projector boxed up somewhere to make the boys jealous enough that they want to come", I smiled down the phone, grabbing another strawberry in hand.

"Say no more, I am on my way"

I heard a car door slam as he finished his sentence and then a car start.

"I'll go find which box it's in then, just let yourself in when you get here, no one else is home", I told him.

"Okay bye", he dragged out his words and cut off the call.
