Owl house - Fight against false fate

Chapter 6

Luz woke up feeling sunshine shining upon her face. She turned away from the light, trying the go back to sleep, but the light seems to follow her. It took only a couple of minutes before she could feel the sunshine on her face again. She groaned and opened her eyes to look where the light came from.

Part of the curtain had got stuck in something, leaving a gap for sunshine to shine through. Luz grabbed her phone on the night table, to see what time it was. It showed 07:09. She sighed as she let her phone fall on the bed beside her and looked at the celling.

After a while at looking at the celling, Luz let her eyes wander around her room. She saw her desk where her computer stood together with her drawing tablet. Beside it on the wall sat a poster of The Good Witch Azura. She continued looking around her room, seeing her bookshelf full of books and small figurines from anime, her wardrobe, more posters, until her eyes saw the large painting hanging on the wall.

She smiled at it. Of all the drawing and paintings she had made, this was her favourite. Luz had put her whole soul in to that portrait, which had let her got first prices in an art compaction.

It was a portrait of Amity in simple light pink dress looking away with the Grom tree in full bloom behind her. The portrait had captcha, according to Luz, the pure beauty of her loved one. Her dreamily smile, her glittering golden eyes, her slender body and her lovely lavender hair.

As Luz continued to look at the portrait, her smile started to slow faded. "I wished she was here right now!" Luz said sadly. Movement from the foot of her bed made her look away from the portrait to see what moved. At the foot of the bed lay King, curled up in a ball.

Luz smile returned to her face, seeing King lying by her feet. No matter how many years had passed, King still liked to sleep near Luz. This was cute and all, but Luz had to make sure that King was in the room when she got to bed, otherwise she would be woke up in the middle of the night by King scratching the door to get in.

Now it wasn't a problem as King, under the seven year she known him, had grown little over a meter in length, which made him tall enough to reach the doorknob. She chuckled at how cute King was curled up by her feet. Suddenly, something else that Luz thought was cute jumped up in the bed and looked at her.

"Morning Ellie!" Luz said. She rose up from the bed and reached to scratch her palismant head. Ellie moved closer, eager to be petted. She loved physical contact as much as Luz does. Luz petted Ellie for some minutes before she decided to get up out of the bed.

Luz rose up from her bed and stretched. She saw Ellie jumped down from her bed and walked toward a small bed by the desk. In the bed lay a purple cat sleeping. Ellie jumped in to the bed and nuzzled beside the cat, before closing her eyes. Luz smiled at the two palismant laying and nuzzling together.

Luz opened the door and walked out from her room scratching her head. She had change from her pyjamas to a big green T-shirt and saggy grey pants. She walked down the stairs toward the kitchen to get something to eat.

She passed the living room and saw on the cough were Willow and Boscha sleeping. Willow lay on top of Boscha who had her arms rapped around the turquoise-blue hair girl. A blanked was on top of them.

As she entered the kitchen she was greeted by her mother and to her surprises, Eda. "Good morning mija!" Camila said. "Morning kiddo!" Eda said taken a sip from her mug. "Good morning Mami, Eda!" Luz replied walking toward the refrigerator.

"I'm surprise to see up already!" Camila said taken a sip of her tea. "The curtain in my room was little open, letting sun light hitting my face!" Luz answered as she took out a jug of juice. "But I'm quite surprised to see you Eda up so early too, since you aren't early bird either!"
