"I don't sleep around untrustworthy people."
".. So you don't trust me..?" You set your book down on the table, looking at her with saddened eyes. Sylvie sighed, rubbing her eyes with the heel of her hand.
"I do trust you. It's just that everyone I have trusted always betrayed me. Then you come along, gain my trust and make me fall in love, but there is always that worry that you will betray me and break my heart."
She looked down at her lap, fiddling with the fingerless gloves. You took a deep breath and wrapped your arms around her.
"You have every right to have that fear, I don't blame you. But I wouldn't do that, I promise." You felt her wrap her arms wrapping around you. She sighed and buried her face in your neck.
She backed away and looked at you, a small smile on her lips. "I know." She looked down as she yawned. She scooted closer to you, resting her head on your shoulder.
"Sleep, I'll be here when you wake up." You kissed her head and she got comfortable. You looked down at her with a smile on your face. Your smile faded as your phone buzzed. You sighed, taking it out of your back pocket and answered it.
"Y/n, it's time we bring her in."
