After the few hours of sleep he received from the long night before, Seungmin found himself sitting outside on the back porch. He sat on one of the wooden stairs leading down to the garden, gazing at the brightly colored grass and flowers that grew in small patches. It was moderately cloudly, but whenever the sun came into veiw, the brunette had to squint because of the brightness. Seungmin had been sitting there for about ten minutes, waiting for Minjae to arrive.
Being lost in a daze for a few minutes while looking at a patch of bright yellow daisies, he didn't notice the back door opening. It was only when another person sat down next to him, he turned his head.
"I didn't think you'd be out here." Minjae's voice sounded clearer from the night before, but his tone was still quiet. Seungmin hummed in response, and moved a bit closer to his fiancé. "Do you feel okay?"
"Could be better," Minjae let out a huff of laughter, "but yeah, I feel much better. Now that I'm with you." He finished, sneaking his arm around Seungmin's shoulder.
"Jeez, your so cheesy. But, since I love you I don't mind." When Seungmin finished, he stole a quick kiss on the other's cheek. Minjae smiled softly and pressed himself closer to the older one, leaning his head against Seungmin's. Seungmin returned the action by leaning his head against Minjae's shoulder, closing his eyes for a brief moment.
They both stayed silent, until Minjae spoke up. "I'm sorry about yesterday." He stated, sighing afterwards. Seungmin slowly sat up and locked eyes with Minjae. "It's okay. We can do something today if you feel well enough to."
"I had a few plans yesterday, but I had to cancel them," Minjae paused to lean back, resting his elbows on the step above. "But I've got something in mind today."
"Really? What is it?" Seungmin asked, feeling a bit more intrigued. Minjae smirked, "well, it wouldn't be as fun if I told you."
Seungmin scoffed playfully, and punched Minjae's knee lightly, earning a small chuckle from the other. "You're no fun."
Minjae smiled, and stood up, reaching his hand down for Seungmin to grab. "Follow me, I have something for you." When he finished, Seungmin stood up aswell and grabbed Minjae's hand with his own and followed him inside. Minjae led him into the kitchen, and told him to wait a moment as he went upstairs.
While he was gone, Seungmin turned around and slightly jumped when he spotted Jimin standing next to the stove. "You scared me..."
Jimin simply raised his eyebrows and glanced in the direction Minjae went in, "He feels really bad about yesterday, he probably told you that already, but he really does." He looked back in Seungmin's direction, "While you two are gone, enjoy yourselves like there's no tomorrow. Minjae really wants to make it count."
"'While we're gone'? What does that mean?" Seungmin questioned, earning a small cringe from the other. Jimin looked up, and scratched the back of his head awkwardly, "oh, he hasn't told you yet? I'm gonna...shut up and walk away then..." he slowly made his way out of the kitchen, giving Seungmin a small smirk as he exited. Seungmin blinked a few times, a bit confused on what just happened.
When he heard Minjae walk back into the kitchen, Seungmin averted his attention to the younger. Minjae had one of his hands behind his back, obviously hiding something.
"It's nothing fancy, but I thought that maybe you'd like it because you forgot about it over a year ago." Minjae said quickly, his tone sounding nervous for some reason. Seungmin stared at Minjae's hand as he lifted it into view. The younger used his other hand to hold Seungmin's hand out. He placed the object onto Seungmin's hand, and brought his hand back down to his side.
