"Im upset." Jimin snapped, turning his head to the side.
"I told you already. She's for Seungmin! Not me!" Minjae replied, his tone sounding defensive.
"So...Wait...Your not keeping her?"
"No, Jimin." Minjae ran his fingers across the ball of fur in his arms.
Earlier that month, Minjae had adopted a dog for Seungmin's birthday. She was a husky with light coppery-red fur, and a white spot surrounding her left eye. Jimin sighed and gestured his arms forward, "Atleast let me hold her, just once."
Minjae rolled his eyes, and gently placed the sleeping puppy in Jimin's arms. Jimin smiled softly and stroked the fur below her ears.
"You sure made a good choice, Minjae. He'll love her." He cooed, keeping his eyes on the small ball of fur in his arms. Jimin ran his flangers across her red-ish coat one last time, and handed her back to Minjae.
Jimin was about to start talking again, before the two heard the front door open. Jimin took one last glance at the puppy, before leaving the room.
"I'm here!" Minjae heard Seungmin yell. The pink-head gently placed the puppy into a box, making sure she was still alseep while he did so. He took one last glance at her before exiting the room, making his way down the stairs to meet Seungmin.
Seungmin's birthday wasn't until the next day, but Minjae wanted Seungmin to have a proper birthday for once. Exams, sadly, started on the 25th of April every year.
To Seungmin, birthdays weren't a big deal. He had always just thought of them as another day, mostly because his uncle forebid him from doing anything besides work.
Minjae was willing to do anything to change that thought.
Seungmin looked away from Jimin when he saw Minjae walking down the stairs. Minjae smiled when he made eye contact with his boyfriend. Jimin smirked at the two, and walked away to the kitchen to leave them alone.
Minjae wrapped his arms around Seungmin's waist, stuffing his nose into the crook of his neck. Seungmin wrapped his arms around Minjae's upper back, and pressed his cheek against the side of the younger's head.
"Happy birthday~" Minjae cooed into Seungmin's ear.
"My birthday isn't until tomorrow, Minjae." Seungmin replied, a small smile creeping onto his lips.
Minjae moved his head away from Seungmin's neck, but kept his arms wrapped around the elder's waist.
"I know, but I wanted to celebrate it earlier."
Seungmin smiled softly, and hummed in response. He wiped his forehead, removing any sweat from his bike ride. Minjae noticed this, and stepped backwards.
"Go wait in my room, I'll get you some water."
Minjae walked off to the kitchen with an excited look on his face, and Seungmin made his way up the stairs to Minjae's room.
Seungmin opened the door to the bedroom, and removed his jacket as he entered. He looked around the room, and noticed a box next to Minjae's bed. He walked over to the box and peaked inside.
He simply shrugged it off, and walked away when he saw nothing in the box.
Seungmin took a seat on Minjae's bed, and took out his phone while he waited for his boyfriend.
After about a minute of scrolling through Wooyoung's overly posted on Instagram, Minjae walked into the room with a bottled water in his hand. Seungmin looked up, and scanned Minjae's excited expression. Minjae's expression quickly changed when he saw Seungmin. He looked over to the box, and dropped the bottled water on the floor when he saw nothing in the box.
"Minjae..?" Seungmin stood up, glancing to the box then back to Minjae.
Minjae gulped and quickly looked around the room. Seungmin raised his eyebrow in confusion, and glanced around the room.
"Is there something wrong?"
Minjae placed both of his hands on the back of his head, and sighed.
"I'm...er...well..."

Jimin sat on the couch, his boredom increasing every second as he continued switching the TV channels. He gave up on looking for something to watch, and turned off the TV. His eyes slowly closed, and sleep slowly drifted into his mind.
As his eyes slowly closed, they jolted open again when he felt something press against his pelvis.
"Oya!" He quickly sat up, scanning what was in front of him.
Jimin's expression turned soft when he saw the puppy sitting on his legs.
"Aw," he muttered as he lifted her up, "What are you doing out of your box, huh? Minjae's gonna freak out when he sees that your gone, baby girl."
He stood up, rubbing her ears as he walked out of the living room and up the stairs. Jimin stopped outside of Minjae's room, and he heard Minjae's panicked voice from outside the door.
"Minjae, calm down. What's wrong?" He heard Seungmin calmly say.
"I- can't..." Minjae replied, and Jimin snorted in laughter.
The puppy squirmed in Jimin's arms, and he finally opened the door. Minjae spun around, his back blocking Seungmin from seeing the door. The pink-head sighed deeply, and turned back to Seungmin, who was still majorly confused.
Minjae turned back to Jimin, and took the red-ish puppy from his arms. He turned around to face Seungmin.
Seungmin's jaw dropped, and he covered his mouth. His eyes widened, and he stepped forward.
"Seungmin, your a father now!" Jimin exclaimed, leaning on the doorframe.
Seungmin's eyes squeezed shut for a few moments, and he opened them again.
"Minjae..." he muttered, stroking his fingers across the puppy's head. She wiggled out of Minjae's arms, landing in Seungmin's arms. Seungmin laughed while she landed many licks across his face.
He looked up to Minjae with an overjoyed expression.
"Thank you...This is too much..."
Minjae looked behind him, and noticed Jimin had left. He turned back forwards, and leaned his head forwards. He landed a small, gentle kiss on Seungmin's forehead, and the puppy attacked his chin with kisses as he pulled away. Seungmin's eyes had slightly formed a few tears.
"Cherry." Seungmin said, looking up at Minjae. "That's her name. Cherry." He repeated.
Minjae smiled, and nodded. Seungmin placed Cherry onto the floor, and quickly wrapped his arms around Minjae. Minjae returned the action, and the two embraced.
Moments like this, they wanted to last forever.
Forever, however, isn't possible for the two anytime soon.
