I stood there in the woods for a few moments, looking at the landscape around me. The forest was thick and exotic. There were many plants that I recognized, some that I didn't. I stared at the forest for a few seconds, taking in the exotic beauty of what was in front of me. This was always a part of my job that brought me at least a little bit of joy, seeing new things like this. I didn't have time for any of that, though.
"Rohnson, contact Matsu and tell him I'll need a-" I began saying before realising that something was wrong.
I took a closer look at my wrist and realised how broken my watch was. The main line to Rohnson's A.I. was destroyed. It was at that moment it all hit me, how much I had screwed up. A minute ago I hadn't seen that the tech in the watch was completely unsalvageable. We were stuck here, stranded without a way of contacting anyone or getting anywhere safe. My breathing accelerated greatly as I stood up and started cursing at myself, screaming at the environment around me. I started kicking the bushes, punching the trees, and blasting bunches of foliage away with my powers, clearing up massive open spaces with telekinetic blasts. I was beyond frustrated, and I heard Tracks call for me in between hectic breaths.
"Shut up! Just shut up! I don't want to fucking deal with all of this! Why did it have to be me, huh? Why'd I have to be dragged into this? Why do I, of all people, deserve this? Goddamn motherfucker!" I yelled at both the universe, and the boy, throwing my Lusaris lighter at him.
"Augh! What happened? What'd I just do to those people?" Tracks grunted, still writhing around in the dirt.
"I have no goddamn idea! I don't know everything, and I certainly didn't ask to be stranded with a whiny little bitch like you!" Tracks glared at me.
After a minute of deep breaths I had calmed myself down, and after some old fashioned fumes Tracks had simmered down. We scouted around the area and found an open plain of grass outside of the forest. It was beginning to get dark so I decided it was best to set up camp. It was nighttime at the Hub, Tracks was confused as to why it was dusk in our current location. While we were setting up I explained that different universes have different solar cycles, it isn't hard to figure out. I used my powers to easily slice through trees with my mind and make logs for a fire. After I started one with some pyromancy I left Tracks to keep it going. I went into the forest to find anything useful and I ended up finding some exotic, spiky, baseball sized fruits in a bush. I broke one open and it smelled horrible. I knew neither of us would eat this but it didn't matter to me. I grabbed a bunch and put them in my pockets. I made my way back to the fire and Tracks had it absolutely blazing.
"I watch a lot of survival shows. My mates and I would go camping all the time." He said, sitting down on one of the logs I put around the fire for us to sit on.
I sat down on the log across from him, pulling out the fruits I found earlier. "Hungry?" I asked sarcastically.
"Unless your magic could make those a little more digestible, I'm fine with starving." He said, smelling more of the Lusaris.
I covered one of the fruits in my hands while closing my eyes to concentrate. After a few seconds I revealed it and Tracks noticed that I had transformed it into an apple. I tossed it over the fire to him, which he couldn't catch due to the high he was on. It hit his chest and fell to the ground. After a few seconds of looking he picked it up, shined it on his shirt and cautiously took a bite. He looked at me and smiled while chewing, making a cheers gesture with the apple. I took another one and turned it into a banana.
"I'm... sorry you got in all that Barney rubble because of me."
It took me a second to realise what he meant by that. Slang can be so weird sometimes.
