"We're here." Akira's mom says turning her head to look at Akira, Who slumps back into his seat. The car comes to a stop and Akira unbuckles, she turns to him, "Look akira, this will be good for you. Senior year is important" She lets out grabbing his hand "You know, I met your father in high school. Maybe you'll meet a special somebody as well." She whispers making Akira roll his eyes.

"The same man that practically abandoned me at birth?" He mutters in hate, she quickly glares at her son, "Akira!" She exclaims angry, he breaths out tiredly. "Whatever, I'll talk to you later." He mutters opening the door.

"Look I love you okay, be careful and make sure to call me if you need help. I'll come right away." She says, he simply rolled his eyes, lies.

his mother had preferred speaking in Japanese, she'd say a little English now and then but she preferred their home language. He didn't know why she bothered though, it's not as if he grew up in Japan or with Japanese relatives. He never knew his father or his side of the family, not to mention she herself hadn't been close with her own family either, she had told him she ran away from

them when she was younger with his father, shortly after she changed her name to something more American, His father had left before Akira was born though still she probably just wanted him to be somewhat connected to their culture. He breaths out turning around to hug her. "I-I love you too." He mumbles, it seemed the more he said it the harder it was. His mother smiles back as he exits the car. She starts the car up, waving in the rear mirror, he waves back watching his mother drive off.

Leaving him standing there alone, like always.

He sighs and moves on, walking through the crowds of kids, his fingers tightened around his backpack straps. He hoped that he went unnoticed this year, he turned the corner going to ask for his school schedule. He takes in the Sight of the school, his mother's choice of school for him had always been to good to be true, somehow his mother could afford putting him in a private high school 30 minutes from home, in the rich part of town, ever since elementary school it had been the same, he went to private schools, when ever he questioned it his mother would simply say it was because he did so well in school, Akira knew that was a lie though.

Akira, not paying attention walks into another boy, he falls to the ground with a groan and then looks up at the

tall slouched boy who looked down through his dark brown bangs that definitely needed a cut, his eyes were a dark grey, under black. He looked tired. His eyes though practically lifeless as if he was tired of this world, His skin tanned like Carmel. Luca, a boy Akira had been going to school with since toddler years. He's had a crush on him since elementary school.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention to were I was going." He says nervously as he stands up giving the taller boy a small smile. The taller boy simply nods and turns back, Luca was no doubt rude, but that was what made him so attractive.

"Luca, detention again? What did you do this time?" The teacher says staring at the boy, Akira couldn't help the Pang of jealousy he felt as the teacher acted as if she and Luca were buddies. He rolled his eyes as he overhears the woman speaking flirtatiously with him, others around probably couldn't tell the intention under her words but Akira could, he had heard those words his whole life. It angered him,

But that anger soon eased as Lucas dark grey eyes met Akira's making the shorter boy look away nervously, his heart felt as if it'd stop. There was something about Luca that made him act even more nervous than usual, maybe it was because he had been taking more medication than before, or that he hadn't seen the boy since last year.

"You should try being more discreet when your checking a person out." Luca says making Akira slightly jump at the sound of his voice, it had been deeper than last year. The taller male hands the pen to Akira as he leaves the office.
