The next day Akira had decided to go to school in hopes of seeing Luca to apologize, But he still wasn't in school. Then again Akira didn't think he would be after all his parents hated him and his family and Luca probably hated him as well. Akira was also scared to face lei, he cared for him but the fact that Luca loved lei got to him, Akira wished he didn't have this growing hate for his best friend but he did and it made him disgusted in himself,
He hadn't known why lei loved him.
"Akira, are you okay?" Lei asks as he walked up to Akira down the hall surprising the male, he tightens his arms around his books keeping his eyes on the ground, he didn't know what to say to him, things felt so awkward now for some reason, lei on the other hand was worried seeing his friend like this. He looked so drained, he wished he could cheer him up.
"I'm not, I-I'm not okay!" Akira cried out making lei panic, he looked around and then pulled him into a empty classroom, setting him down on a desk hugging him, "Akira-" he began, "Lei, I'm so messed up. Maybe I just don't deserve to be happy." He lets out making lei shake his head, "That's not true, Akira I love you because you care so much about the people around you more than yourself, you know what it's like to have a hard life but I never see you complain, your to good for this world!" Lei exclaimed
"I'm not! Do you want to know why I was gone from school for a year, it's because I wouldn't stop trying to kill myself! Do you know how messed up my family is, my mother may act like she's picture perfect and a loving mom but she's just a whore who can't keep away from men, she'll do nothing to keep her own kids safe from perverted people as long as it means she has someone by her side!" Akira exclaimed his words slurred from crying, he quickly stood up looking down at lei as he clenched his fist
"She never did anything when she found out I was raped by her boyfriend, she blamed me when I tried killing myself and the one person I truly loved only approached me because he wanted to get back at the boy he loved who is my best friend! What do I even have to live for anymore when he won't even see me cause I almost killed him!" He screamed out. Lei stood, "Akira, Luca does love you, maybe it was because of the wrong reasons at first but I do see the way he looks at you." He says, "Because it's the way he looked at you." Akira answered
"Luca loved me because I showed him attention when nobody else did as a child, it was obsession over something he could never have, not true love. He wanted me because he simply wanted me not because he loved me, he was a child he didn't know what he wanted but now he looks at you like I look at you, he loves you." He exclaimed his hands moving up to Akira's face wiping his tears
"Your not messed up, your mom is. She's a horrible person that doesn't deserve to have you or any of your siblings in her life, she deserves to deal with whatever she has going on with whatever boyfriend she has herself! I won't ever let her or anyone hurt you again!" He lets out
"I-" Akira begin, "Don't say anything, just let me comfort you. We can deal with whatever else later." He says smiling sadly, Akira nods sinking into the embrace of the other male
