OUTER BANKS, north carolina, a place where you either had two jobs, or two houses. paradise on earth, but only if you were able to afford the luxury part of paradise. the island was double-sided and you either belonged with the kooks, or the pogues. there were always the tourons that would show up for a week or two, slum with one of the groups, and then leave maybe to return the next year. but noone considered them a competing group category on the outer banks.
