Nothing Personal
Once Skye, Taylor and Ward were on the plane Taylor split from them almost immediately. She was about to walk up the spiral staircase when she was stopped by Ward.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked, trying too hard not to act suspitious.
"To my bunk. I need some me time." Taylor replied, trying not to be toxic.
"Fine." He just walked away from her and to Skye. She just rolled her eyes. But what Ward didn't know was that before she left Koenig's office, she snatched the SAT phone from the base. She went up to her bunk and called the base. It was ringing for a while, but no one picked up. So, she called again.
"Pick up, pick up." This time they did. "Oh, thank God."
"Taylor?" Coulson asked. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine but there's something you should know." Taylor told them.
"We know that Ward's HYDRA. We got your message." Coulson informed. Taylor drew a shaky breath. "Has he hurt you in any way? Is Skye okay as well?"
"Yeah, no. We're both fine. He won't hurt either of us, he doesn't know that we know he's HYDRA." Taylor assured them.
"How can you be sure?" Tripp asked, listening to our conversation.
"Because I read his mind." Taylor breathed out.
"Taylor!" Coulson warned. "You said you'd only use them if-"
"Yeah, I know, but I had to be sure." Taylor defended, raising her voice a little. Her bunk door slid open revealing a confused looking HYDRA agent.
"Who you talking to?" Ward asks.
"Nunya." Taylor stated.
"Who or what is Nunya?" Ward took it seriously.
"Nunya business." Taylor spat. Ward just rolled his eyes and put his hand out. She kept the phone to herself.
"You're hiding something." Ward said to her.
"No, I'm not."
"You are, else you'd give me the phone." He told her. She rolled her eyes.
"Fine but don't be surprised when you hear their voice." She practically said into the phone preparing them.
"Hello." Ward said into the phone. Taylor held her breath but before the team could answer, a crashing sound came from the lab. Obviously, Skye. Ward tossed the phone back to Taylor and made his way back downstairs.
"That was close." Taylor took a deep breath out, closing the door again.
"Yeah, too close." Taylor heard a crash through the phone and everyone shouting Fitz's name. She knew he just found out and Ward was like a big brother to him, so she knew it'd hit close to home.
"Phil let me talk to him." She waited a second for him to pass the phone over. "We need to hold it together. Listen..." She hears Fitz shove something else off the table with a clang. "All that anger, all that pain, you need to hold it in and focus it on Skye. Don't worry about me." She takes another deep breath. "She's alive. And she just walked out of here hand in hand with me and with someone we know is a murderer. Because we're playing him, just like he played us. Okay? You have to fix the communications. You guys have to track this plane. Can you do that?"
"Yeah, yeah." He exhaled.
"Good. You know me, I've got a plan. And You're gonna find us before Ward figures out what that is." Taylor assured him.
