The Well.
The team is in Greenwich university, London. They are cleaning up the aftermath of Thor's fight with the Dark Elves. Simmons started babbling about Norse mythology.
"In ancient times, people believed the heavens were filled with Gods and monsters and magical worlds. Then, as time passed, those beliefs faded into myth and folklore." Simmons started, "But now we know the stories are true. Other worlds, with names like Asgard, do exist. And beings referred to as Gods, like Thor, have returned. Leaving us with more questions and..." She pauses, "An enormous mess to clean up." Ward emptied a box in front of Fitz-Simmons and Lee.
"Don't say I never gave you anything." Ward joked, making Taylor roll her eyes.
"Checking for alien spectrographic signatures one teeny rock a time." Fitz examined the pile of debris in front of him.
"Necessary precaution, we don't want anything alien getting into the wrong hands." Taylor clarified.
"This is definitely the type of work a monkey could easily do." Fitz complained.
"You're our little monkey." Ward smiled at Fitz, making Taylor nudge him gently. Simmons' phone rang. She took it out, looked at the caller ID and put it back into her pocket. Fitz gave her a look.
"Don't give me that look. I'll talk to them when I talk to them." Simmons dismissed.
"Talk to who?" Ward asked.
"Mum and Dad. They want explanations and answers for... well, all this." Simmons gestures to the mess, "But I don't have answers. And, most importantly, I haven't talked to them since I was ill. And if they knew that they'd be even more terrified. So, you know. Why waste any of our time, really?" She explained as Taylor walked over to Coulson, May and Skye. Skye kept asking questions about Thor and Asgard.
"You guys might think this is old news, but it's new news to everybody else. So, Asgardians are aliens from another planet that visited us thousands of years ago?" Skye asked Taylor.
"Not planets, per say. More realms. And I'm pretty sure it was more than a thousand years. By the way, Asgard is beautiful." Taylor complemented.
"And how would you know that, Lee?" Coulson challenged.
"I might have gone there, courtesy of Thor." Taylor explained, smirking.
"Anyway. So, because we couldn't understand aliens, we thought they were Gods?" Skye inquired.
"That's where our Norse mythology comes from." Coulson added.
"That's too crazy. Do you think other deities are aliens too? Vishnu for sure right?" Skye questioned, rhetorically. Making Taylor laugh a little too hard.
"You know, it'd be nice, for once, Thor and his people sent down the God of cleaning up after yourself. They probably have a magic broom for this kind of thing." Phil commented, sarcastically.
"Not true, but, sure." Taylor corrected.
"I just wish they left their alien ship behind." Skye informed.
"So, we can clean that up too?" May complained.
"So, we could go inside, take a peek under the hood, maybe take it for a spin. Come on, you're telling me that piloting an alien spaceship isn't on your bucket list?" Skye asked. May gave her an intrigued look.
"I can't think of a single time when something alien in human hands ended well." Phil argued.
"Wouldn't mind getting my human hands on Thor. He's so dreamy." Skye fangirled.
