Taehyung's POV
"Hey, Tae!" Sana waved her hand in front of my face, as I was spacing out.
"Come on, it's time," she said. I scanned her from head to toe and saw that she's wearing a knee-length ally white off-shoulder dress. Unfortunately, it's Sa Ji's birthday. Yes, it is very unfortunate because whenever it's her birthday we have to go to Duryu Park to celebrate.
"Can you tell me why are we doing this again?" I asked Sana with a bored expression, I'm trying not to appear that fascinated at her look. She always looks so beautiful but this time she's more beautiful.
"I also don't know, I don't want to go." yup, she's annoyed.
"Me too."
"Want to leave?" I offered to Sana but Sa Ji's hand fled at the back of my head.
"Aw!" that hurts.
"Don't be such a party pooper. My birthday only comes once a year---"
"So is ours. Everyone's birthday does. " Sana cut her off with an irritated tone. I hid my smile so that Sana won't see it, we can't afford our Ms. Grumpy to be also grumpy towards me.
"Oh shush! let's leave before the car does." Sa Ji retorted.
Sana and I followed Sa Ji before checking if everything we need is already in the car.
Since I am only a minor, I can't drive the car that's why Sa Ji also hired a driver. Sana and I went to the back of the pickup car where our bags are also in. We tap the car's hood to signal them that we're ready to go.
All the way to the Duryu Park Sana and I had fun with music and road trip. She even feels like dancing but restrained herself as she knows she'll bang the car and disturb Grandma and Sa Ji inside.
"Okay, here we are!" Sa Ji announced happily. She grabbed the picnic box and her one big bag, that I don't even know what's inside. I don't know why she packed so many bags as if we're staying here for the night.
"Help me prepare Sana," she said to her sister then I guided Grandma. She wrapped her hand around my arm.
"Sana is a nice girl" Grandma complimented.
"Yeah, she is," I said while gazing at Sana whose helping, I mean, forcing herself to help Sa Ji lay down the picnic clothe. She's bickering with Sa Ji.
"I'm surprised you said that," Grandma said that made me look at her. She looks old, her wrinkles are evident and so as her white hairs but with all that she still looks beautiful. My Grandma aged like a fine wine.
"Why?"
"Because if it was the Taehyung when Sana just came in, you would probably say the otherwise."
"No, I wouldn't." Would I?
Grandma laughed and shook her head slowly. "Oh, my dear Grandson is already in his teens."
"Still a minor," I responded. Grandma laughed again but then seconds later she stopped walking, so I did the same because her hand is around my arm.
"I am proud of you Taehyung," Grandma said with a smile. A sweet loving smile.
"Why would you say that? I didn't even achieve anything. I didn't even make it to the honors this year." I chuckled at that. I admit that I am not that intelligent when it comes to academics but I can manage. Other Grandmothers would probably spank their grandsons when they don't make it to the honors but when my Grandma knew, she just smiled at me and even cooked me my favorite food.
She held my face gently with her other hand, her thumb softly brushing my cheek. "You don't have to achieve anything for me to be proud of you. You being who you are, is enough for me to be proud of. " Grandma said that makes me want to tear up. Why is she like this.
"Stop it, Grandma. Why are you being like this?" I looked away as my vision started to blur.
"Aww, my Grandson is crying e'?" Grandma mocked. After making me tear up like this, now she's going to make fun of me. I just shook my head and laughed with her.
Grandma and I started to walk again when Sa Ji's loud mouth called us.
I guided Grandma to her reclining camp chair before sitting down next to Sana. She can't sit with us at the picnic clothe because of her aging conditions. You know those bone, joint, and muscle pains people get when they grow old.
"Okay let's start!" Sa Ji said with joy, Sana was about to get a fruit from the basket when Sa Ji tapped her hand, making Sana glare at her sharply.
"What? You haven't even sung the Happy Birthday Song yet. You guys sing it first, then we can all eat."
"Ugh!" Sana and I both groaned.
"Grandma, look at these two, such a killjoy." Sa Ji complained to Grandma but Grandma just laughed it off.
Since it's Sa Ji's birthday, we can't do anything but do as she, please. Even though Sana acts like this towards her sister, I know that she loves her. She wouldn't do it if she doesn't want to. No one can force her to do anything they want unless they have the most strongest and powerful force that ever existed. Love.
So as what Sa Ji wanted, we all sang her a Happy Birthday with a matching roll eye from Sana before we started to enjoy the meals, Sa Ji and Grandma prepared.
Sana grabbed a disposable plate for her and I started to put food on it, like her favorite egg rolls and other more. If Sana didn't stop me I think I wouldn't stop putting food on her plate. Well, she needs to gain weight. She's as thin as a stick.
"Thank you," Sana whispered. I smiled and said, "You're welcome."
Sana and I took a walk around the park after we finish eating. Sa Ji and Grandma stayed behind to guard our belongings but I think they stayed behind because Sa Ji is not done eating yet. She has a stomach of a dragon.
"Hey Tae, look," Sana said pointing to a lady standing in front of a large canvas with a paintbrush in her hand.
Sana held my hand that made me look at her. Her eyes were fixed at the canvas while mine were at her.
"Hi, Ms." Sana greeted the lady and handed her money but the lady refused to say "I would love to paint a young lovely couple for free." Sana pulled me, to stand in front of the lady's canvas.
She got a new one and said "Pose for anything you like, just act natural."
I look at Sana and she's doing the peace sign. It made me laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" She asked.
"Won't your arm get numb at that pose?" I said still laughing.
"I won't." She said, still doing her pose, but it sounded like she's not sure. "Just focus on your own pose, asshole," Sana added.
So I stood there, endlessly smiling and staring at a Grumpy angel.
