By the time Jungkook and Hanbin arrive at the station as well, Namjoon is on the phone in his office, looking absolutely livid as he continues to talk with his eyes fixed into a hard stare at an imaginary point on a wall. None of the officers can make out what the man is saying, but they know for a fact that something is not going the way it should be. Their captain rarely got so visibly riled up while in office, and it's a legitimate case for concern among the officers watching the entire thing unfold with abated breath.

"Yook, what the hell is going on?" Jungkook asks the officer standing next to him, and he already knows he's not going to like the answer considering how pale the man looks.

"....I think we might have to let him walk," Sungjae answers weakly and then winces, as if the words bring him actual physical pain.

"What? Let who walk?" Jungkook  hisses, hoping that the other cop is referring to someone else entirely. However, Sungjae's silence is a solid answer enough, and Jungkook inhales and exhales slowly, doing his best to keep his temper in check.

"We're going to let him walk? After what he did to Yoongi ? " It's Hanbin this time, and Sungjae finally tears his eyes away from the captain to focus on the other man. "Why? We have hard evidence!"

".....His father's Kim Gunghyeo."

"Who the hell is Kim Gunghyeo?" Jungkook  grits out, his voice half an octave higher.

"......You've got to be fucking kidding me," Hanbin says once Jungkook's finished, and Jungkook shoots his partner a questioning look. "Jeon, don't you watch the fucking news?"

"What? Who the hell is he and why do I need to know who he is?"

"He owns Empire Group."

"...As in the company?"

"Yeah. As in the company. And the man's  going to run for presidency in the upcoming election."

"Wait, what the fuck! That Kim Gumghyeo? The Kim Gunghyeo?" Jungkook screeches out once the realization hits. Of course he knows who the man is. Kim Gunghyeo may not be the richest man in Korea, but he made his presence be known through a number of philanthropic events and donations. With the election heading their way, there were already words of the man becoming a presidential candidate. Who would've thought that a man of such squeaky clean record would have a son so twisted...but then again, the same man in question had ruined Yoongi's life as if it didn't mean a thing.

Before either Sungjae or Hanbin can come up with a reply, Namjoon is storming out of his office, his face red and his eyes strained.

"From this point, if anyone asks, I'm solely responsible for anything pertaining to the arrest of Kim Taehyung . Is everyone clear on this?" he begins, his tone authoritative and not leaving much room for argument.

"Cap, what's going on," Hanbin jumps in, taking a step forward. "Are we really letting him go?"

"You all are to return home immediately. You are no longer involved in any of this."

"Cap!" Kook yells, his voice defiant. Normally, he would never go against the captain's words, but there is no way in hell he's going to let the man take the fall for everything. "I want that piece of shit behind bars just as badly as you do, and you're going to need our help."

"No. Go home. All of you."

"No, we're not going anywhere," Sungjae counters in a surprisingly calm tone, and Namjoon throws him a warning glance.

"Don't make me suspend all of you," Namjoon growls.

"Cap. He kidnapped our friend. Hurt one of our men," the other officer tries to reason, taking a step forward as well. "And the only reason I'd ever let that bastard out is to kill him myself."
