The sun was about to pop up in a minute, making the Third lookup. He loved dawn, the colours it paints on the sky announcing the start of the new day. He carefully crawled out of bed, tiptoeing through the room as silently as he could. Trying not weak up the man still sleeping under the covers. He went to the rooftop of their house, turning his face towards the first sun rays. He looked around for a bit, scanning the surrounded area for people before taking off his shirt, tossing it aside.

Closing his eyes, he focused and in a second, the pair of wings sprang out of his back. He stretched them out, shaking off the stiffness. The warm breeze caressed the feathers, ruffling them a little, making Third smile. It was a while he had a chance to do this. His wings were no longer snow white, as they were supposed to be. The colour slowly turned to light grey as he falls for the person sleeping inside the house, yet they were still beautiful. Having them was a secret only he and his lover know about. No one else knew, not even their friends.

"Why are you up so early?" The raspy voice startled him.

"I wanted to watch a sunrise." Third, answered, smiling as the two strong arms wrapped themselves around his slim waist.

"You will catch a cold without the shirt." The man voiced out, kissing the naked shoulder of the smaller.

"I have you and wings to keep me warm, Khai." Third giggled.

"Right, my cute short angel." Khai laughed, resting his chin on the Third's head. They stood in silence, watching the sun coming up, Third's grey wings still stretched out, enjoying the freedom. Heaven may have closed its gates for him, leaving him on the earth, but he was not alone.
