Author's note: The continuation from Spell because I can't let this idea be a single story. 🤣😋
Rome never believed in magic, so when his best friend Emma brought the creepy looking book to one of their sleepovers, saying it was a memento from her great great grandmother, he just laughed and let her do what she wanted. If he knew she would read the spell out loud point it at him, he would throw her out of the door.
The spell works, and he ends up as a tiny cup Maltese. Neither he nor Emma knew how to get him back to normal, hoping the magic would vanish with time. It was almost a week being a small dog, and he was never so happy to live alone, far from his parents. His best friend carried him everywhere with her, taking care of him until that fateful night.
They were in the park. Rome was enjoying running around, not paying attention to his friend when he got too far. Dog or not, he became scared as he couldn't find Emma anywhere. He got lost, roaming through the unfamiliar street, passing out at the end.
When he woke up later, he found himself in the stranger house with quite a handsome man taking care of him. Not that he complained, though. Maybe being a puppy for a little longer wouldn't be so bad. He let Pick, as the man introduced himself, fuss over him.
He was quietly sitting on the tabletop, waiting for Pick to was the dishes, when he felt a familiar tingle in his limbs, and then he changed back. The magic wears off, leaving him naked at the piece of furniture, and a man, pointing a knife in his direction.
Rome scratched his neck awkwardly, wondering how to explain the whole situation to Pick without sounding like a lunatic.
