Ashlyn, after long and confusing minutes, finally found her dorm room. Her roommate was yet to arrive, so she started to take a few trips to bring in her things. Once she got back from the first trip, there were two people there. "Hi!" She said, setting down her bags. "I'm Ashlyn." She introduced herself.

"I'm Kourtney." The girl smiled.

"And I'm... her friend who should probably go find his own dorm." The boy standing next to her said. "Oh, and I'm actually Big Red." He smiled.

"You don't have to go yet if you don't want to. If you're friends were kinda bound to see each other, might as well be friends, right?" Ashlyn suggested. She took a seat on her bed.

"Yeah, that's true." He agreed, sitting on Kourtney's bed. Kourtney sat beside him.

"First year here?" She questioned.

"Yep. Pretty excited." Ashlyn nodded. Her excitement was easy to see. It was similar to the way the two others had been their first year (they were still extremely excited for the year to follow; it now showed differently).

"We're sophomores."

"And happy to help if you ever need any. Well, actually, I'm kinda awful at helping with classes and stuff..." Big Red trailed off. Ashlyn smiled.

"That's fine. Plus, having friends is enough support in a new place."

"Yeah, definitely is." He agreed. "Speaking off, I really should go. Forgot I was meeting a roommate... and yeah, wanna make a friend."

"Bye." Both girls waved as he left, closing the door behind himself and leaving them alone.

"You seem like great friends." Ashlyn observed.

"Have been since we were little."

"No, like, good friends to have. And also close, yeah."

"Oh, yeah. I like to think of myself as a good friend, and I can confirm he is." Kourtney replied.

"And he's a friend of yours?" She wondered. "Like... just a friend?"

"God yes." She laughed, shaking her head in disbelief at the thought of them dating.

"Okay." Ashlyn nodded.

"And you ask this because you have a crush on him?" Kourtney smirked.

"No! I figured it's something a friend should know, the relationship status of the other friend. I literally just met him. Genuinely, I do not." She replied honestly.

"Well, our relationship status are both single, so if you ever do..."

"I'm gonna take this as a sign that we're close enough to tease each other already and annoy the actual... 'you like him' narrative." Ashlyn chuckled.

"Okay, well, we are friends."

"Good." She smiled.

Big Red managed his way to his dorm (he got even more lost than Ashlyn). His roommate was already there, sitting on his bed and talking on his phone. He hung up once Big Red had sat on his own bed. "Hi." Big Red said shyly.

"Hey."

"Uh..."

"Oh, I'm Howie." He introduced himself.

"Right, I'm Big Red." He responded, looking around the dorm and studying the place. He was mildly ignoring Howie at this point, expecting what was about to come.

"Are you the kid who—"

"Yeah." He nodded. "But it doesn't matter."

"You're right, it really doesn't. Just a bit curious." Howie replied.

"You don't care?"

"Nope."

"Great." Big Red smiled. "What grade are you in?"

"Sophomore."

"Okay, same."

"Cool." Howie nodded.

"I'm going to meet my parents for dinner, see you later?"

"I'll be... most likely here."

"See ya then." He waved, smiling as he left. Besides Kourtney, he hadn't had many friends (that lasted) before, and he had already met two more.

Seb didn't mind people knowing his sexuality, but sometimes he didn't feel like outright saying it. Wether it be because of his shyness or the feeling he had come out over and over, he simply didn't want to. He had high hopes his roommate would be nice about it.

Speaking of, his roommate came in right as Seb finished putting up a small pride flag (his subtle way of showing himself without saying it, though maybe he'd have to say it anyways). Seb waved.

"Hey." The other boy waved. "That's cute." He gestured to said flag.

"Thanks!" Seb beamed. "I'm Seb."

"Carlos." Carlos introduced himself, setting down a bag. "First year too?"

"Yeah."

"I'm really excited."

"Me too." Seb agreed, flopping down onto his bed and sitting there. "Not to say I won't be a little homesick."

"That's sorta a good thing, though. I mean, it's normal and I guess that means you have a good family." Carlos said.

"Yeah, they're super supportive. I'll miss the place too, but this has been my dream for quite some time."

"I think I was dancing the second I was born." Carlos joked, sitting on his own bed across from the blonde.
