It took Kourtney two days to know what to do. She knew practically the minute he got away from each class and could be at his dorm, so when he had a break she showed up. She knocked on the door.

"Oh, uh K- Kourtney. Hi." Howie answered.

"Could I come in?"

"Sure..." he let her in before closing the door. She stood there, watching them.

"I've thought it over."

"Yeah..."

"Do you want to go out?" She asked. "One date, we'll take it from there."

"Wait, really?"

"Yeah."

"I'd love to." A smile grew on his face.

"Good, um... I'm busy tomorrow, but then I'm pretty much free." It was currently a Friday.

"Er, Tuesday?"

"Sure. 6?"

"Sounds good." She nodded. Unsure what to do, she continued. "I've gotta go, I've got a class soon."

"Okay. See you sometime soon. Ish."

"Yeah, bye." She left, leaving him extremely excited.

"Oh, er... hey?" Big Red said, being stopped by (a very flirty) Bailey on the way to his class.

"Hey." She smiled a smile which was very close to a smirk.

"I, um, already said I don't wanna go out." He mumbled.

"I thought maybe you'd changed your mind? I mean, I changed my mind. I thought I was done with you but look where we are..."

"We're in a hallway. There's nothing between us."

"Don't you wish there was, though? When we were dating... you seemed so happy..." she made a fake smile.

"I did seem happy, yeah."

"Then why—"

"Because I wasn't actually happy. Or I shouldn't have been." He sighed. "Look, I have—"

"Shouldn't have been? Come on, you loved it. I was a great girlfriend." She faked an innocent pout.

"As I was saying, I have a—"

"Give me another chance." She smirked, reaching for his hand. She didn't get to it before he noticed his actual girlfriend (who he kept trying to mentioned), but she did hold it right after.

"I'm happy, and I don't need you to stop that, and, as I keep trying to tell you—" he was cut off by her once again, mostly because she figured he had a girlfriend by the way he was acting.

"I've changed." She said.

"Please let go of my hand. I have a—"

"You know—"

"I have a girlfriend!" He managed, spotting Ashlyn who had tears in her eyes. She wasn't nearly close enough to hear the story, or even the last thing he had shouted, but she couldn't take her eyes off of them. She sunk to the floor, clutching her textbook.

"I'm sure she's boring. Come on, you were in love. We were."

"You don't love someone if you intentionally hurt them. You hurt me."

"I made some mistakes."

"Leave me alone." He sighed.

"Your feelings are bound to come back. I'm just trying to speed up the process." She said, pulling him closer by the cuff of his shirt.
