いち: The Beginning

Zelda's POV

What if there is a parallel universe? There would be a similar world and people miles away from us. Where there I could find the same face as I have. It's not a bad idea, right?

I stayed silent while thinking at the possible things that could happen if there was a parallel universe. My fantasies are really far from the reality. Sigh, all I ever want was peace and a silent life, reading books and spend my time with joy.

"Luca!" I called out when I noticed one of my books missing. Much worse is that it's the book my mother told me not to open.

My door opened, as Luca's head slid inside. He was raising his brow at me, looking confused. I brought my hands on my waist, brows furrowed as I look at him.

"What? Are you just gonna stare at me like that?" He said, voice full with sarcasm. I immediately roll my eyes as I stop near my mini bookshelf.

"Where's the book? The old book?" I asked while pointing at my bookshelf. He's the only one who would enter my room without my permission. He's the only bastard who would hide my things, then make me suffer.

He stood properly, entering his whole body inside the room. I guess he just got back from the gym.

"Well, was that the one about greek mythology?" He smirk. I immediately conclude that it was him who have that book.

Actually, that book was from my grandma. She gave it to my mom, telling her not to open it. It actually has a lock but I never knew where's the key even until the bought of them died. It's the only thing they left me with and it means the life for me.

"Give it back to me." I sternly said. He just chuckle while leaning against my door.

"No, I won't." He shook his head with a grin. I firmly close my eyes before looking away from him.

This man standing right in front of me is no other than Luca, my stepbrother. When my mom died, my father decided to remarry. It was actually fine for me at first. His mother is kind and caring, but not him.

He's months older than I am and he works under a big company. It's the weekend so I'll probably have to see him all over the house. While I work as a personal assistant under a famous boutique.

"You freaking—" I grab a book from the shelf before throwing it straight to him. He was taken-aback and was about to catch the book when a little thunderbolt freed from his hands. It torn and burn up the book which got me shock and speechless.

I was just staring at the flaming book before shifting my gaze at him. He also looks confuse while staring at his hands. What just happened?

Taking steps backward. My lips parted while looking at him. That thunderbolt could kill me if it didn't hit the book. I still can't believe what I witnessed. I am not dreaming, right? This probably ain't true.

I slap myself only to realize that this is actually happening. It seemed like from the books I read.

"Damn! What was that?" He exclaimed which made me shook my head. The book turned into ashes. We both stood there, confused and bewildered at the scene.

I slowly shifted my gazes at him. "Where did you get that power?" I asked, my voice trembling.

He immediately shook his head before balling his hand into a fist. There might be something going on, he's extraordinary.
