Chapter 10

DANIELLE'S POV~ (A while after she was taken by Kronos)

"Let me out!!" I screamed as my voice got hoarse. I think I have been her for about a day.

"How about, NO!" The guard screamed again.

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No. Shut up little girl!"

"Never!" I yelled and shone a beam of light that I conjured in his eyes. He screamed.

I melted the bars with the fire power I got from my mom. The guard grabbed my leg so I shot fire at him and he died.

"Danielle, come here and stop fighting." A cold voice said. Kronos.

"No. Goodbye." I simply said as I tried to get out through the door but I was pulled back by strong arms.

I struggled and cried out in pain when the arms tightened.

"Now, now. Don't hurt the girl, only scare her." Kronos said. "Time to join the winning side Danielle. Join me, and you shall rule beside me and become all powerful. If not, you will still join my side."

The arms pulled me towards Kronos and forced me to kneel in front of him. Kronos took his scythe and put the tip to my forehead.

He said some words in Ancient Greek, too fast for me to understand. Then I felt a hot flash go through my body and then I blacked out.

DANIELLE'S POV~

I saw bright light through my eyelids. Then my head hurt as my memories came back. Kronos tried to erase my memory. Probably to trick me into believing that I was on his side all along.

Must pretend that I don't know any of my memories. Especially my name, he'll make up a new one.

"Are you awake?" I heard Kronos ask. I'm going to have fun with this.

I bolted up and got into a fighting position. "Who are you?! Where am I?!" I asked, faking.

"My name is Luke Castilian. Your name is Danielle Castilian, you're my sister. Our mother went crazy because our father, the god of messaging and crossroads Hermes, left her after he nearly killed her. You're 16 years old and I'm 18 years old. There is an army trying to kill us because we went against the gods and blamed them for mom going crazy. I'm protecting us. Please remember." Kronos/Luke explained. This is actually the Like part of Kronos. Guess Kronos didn't want me to hear his real voice an freak out. Smart.

"Ok. So my name is Danielle Castilian. You are my brother. An army is trying to kill us. And our mom is crazy." I summed up. Luke nodded.

"Yep. We have an army to fight the bad side. No matter what the other side says, you mustn't listen to them. They will try to turn you against me, your family. I'll get you your weapons." He said and he went off.

I realized that I had awoken in a large, grassy field. The air smelt of flowers and I saw some by the bank of a river to my right. I decide to walk to the water and wade in. The water was nice and cold but slightly warm. I had a few scratches on my arms and face by the water healed me.

"Dani! Where did you go?!" Luke yelled as he came back.

"In the river!" I yelled back. He walked over to me. "Hey Luke, why is the water healing me?" I asked. His eyes widened.

"I think because you're extremely powerful and special. Dani, you are one of the most powerful demigods alive and many people would kill to have you on their side. Luckily you're my sister and I can protect you." He replied with a look of uncertainly in my eyes.
