Chapter 20

PERCY'S POV~

I was the first one to wake up besides Zoe. "So how are we going to get out of here?" I asked.

"Thou has been watching the Doors of Death. Monsters are waiting for Gaea to open the door and she had. Thou is being released everyday and thy needs to attack soon." Zoe said, leaning on the table.

Something bounded into the hut and took Zoe down. Riptide was out in a flash and I was ready to kill it.

"Perseus Jackson, I swear that if you kill Bob Jr., you will regret it for the rest of your life." Bianca threatened from the doorway. Zoe got up and slobber was dripping from her arms and face.

"Eww!" Zoe yelled. Dani was laughing from the doorway with Bianca. "Bob Jr," The pet looked at Zoe. "Lick em." Bob Jr. attacked Dani and Bianca in kisses. Dani managed to get away and went to Annabeth and I's room. Curious, I followed her.

"Anna, how long has your leg been broken?" Dani asked as I walked into the room.

"Umm... I broke it following the Mark of Athena." Annabeth admitted. Dani sighed.

"That has killed every child of Athena?" Dani asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Maybe." Annabeth said. Dani sighed. She removed the splint and Annabeth winced.

"I'm going to heal it. It might hurt and I'll possibly pass out so you'll catch me, right Percy?" Dani asked. I sighed and came into the room. "You're not good at being quiet." I chuckled.

"I'll catch ya Dani." I assured her. She positioned her hands over Annabeth's leg and they started to glow.

Annabeth winced in pain but didn't say anything. Her leg was turning from purple and blue to it's normal color. Dani was sweating and scrunching her eyes closed in pain. Her face was pinched in concentration and then she finally removed her hands.

"Hey Perce..." She trailed off. I moved closer to her.

"Yeah Dani?" I asked.

"You're going to catch me now." And then she started to fall over. I lunged forward and caught her.

"Nice job. Put her in here, I'm going to sleep too and you still need to save your strength." Annabeth said. I put Dani in bed with Annabeth and slid the covers over them. "Good night, or what ever time it is." And then Annabeth was passed out.

I kissed Annabeth on the forehead and walked out of the room back into the kitchen. Everyone else besides Bob and the Titan were sitting down. "How is thou?" Zoe asked.

"They are fine, just resting. Dani used a lot of energy and Anna was tired from last night. She got no sleep." I said. They nodded.

"We have a plan to get out of here." Bianca said. I gained my composure.

"Really?" I asked excitedly. Bianca nodded.

"But there's one problem, for Dani to get out of here, she has to fight her sibling and win." Bianca said.

"Oh gods." I muttered. "Has she been training?" Zoe scoffed.

"It's all she can do to stay sane and fit. She runs laps around Tartarus, killing monsters as she goes. They avoid her now and run away in fear. You know how big Tartarus is? Miles and miles. She runs about 2-3 laps a day. Endurance and training isn't a problem, it's the fighting against a sibling. Her mental stability. I'm scared for her." Zoe said, looking down.

"You love her?" I asked her quietly. She looked up at me, angry. But then it turned to sadness.

"Thou will never love me back. She loves Nico DiAngelo." Zoe spoke, her voice wavering. Bianca swallowed and then embraced Zoe in a hug.

"I'm sorry for having a twin brother?" Bianca statement sounded like a question.

"It is not thy's fault. It is Aphrodite's fault. She has done this to my heart. I can't think straight around her. But all she focuses on it getting back to Nico and her father. I am nowhere near the same place in her heart that Nico is. He will always be her one and only in her eyes." Zoe sounded so broken. My eyes welled up with tears for this girl.

"Why don't you tell Dani how you feel?" I suggested.

"She will never talk to thy again and I'll lose her as even a friend." Zoe said. Tears ran down her cheeks. "When I died, the only thing that kept me from disappearing from existence was the fact that I had Bianca and past Hunters with me to keep my going." Her accent was disappearing, slowly.

"But Zoe, you need to tell her or else if we die again, she'll never know and you'll fade from unhappiness." Bianca said. "I don't care if she's dating my brother, you're my sister even if we're not related by blood." I have Bianca a grateful smile.

"I'll tell her when she wakes up." Zoe said. Bianca and I smiled with relief.

"We won't say anything, will we Percy?" Bianca said with a raised eyebrow in my direction.

"Nope! Not at all! Not even Annabeth." I said quickly. Bianca smiled smugly and Zoe gave me a small smile.

"Maybe boys aren't so bad." Zoe said with a kind smile. "At least, not the one in front of me." I pumped a fist in the air.

We heard some muffled sound coming from the room where Dani and Annabeth were sleeping. Rushing to the room, I saw that a monster had snuck into the room and knocked Dani out. Annabeth was tied up in the corner. "Dani!" Zoe yelled. Anger flared in her eyes.

She jumped forward only to jump back. Dani had extended her wings. "Very funny monster." Dani murmured. The monster started burning under Dani's touch. "Ready to die?" And then with one final scream, the monster disappeared into gold monster dust. Dani opened one eye.

"It's gone." Zoe assured her. Dani smiled at her and I noticed Zoe's reaction. She kinda melted but kept her composure.

"Night." Dani sat, falling asleep.

"Good night love." Zoe said with a tear falling down her cheek.

Oh Zoe, this will tear you apart forever if you don't tell her.
