Violet's PoV:
What the fuck.
I was frozen for half a second but soon enough my eyes permission fluttered shut without my permission. Butterflies danced around eagerly in my stomach and they flew to every part of my body.
Draco's lips were at my mouth and his cold fingers were at my jaw. His grip was firm but gentle enough so that I could move away if I wanted to.
However, the only thing weirder than Draco kissing me was that I didn't mind it. Actually, I found myself kissing him back. Kissing him back? No. That couldn't be right.
But when Draco went to pull away I leaned back into him to deepen the kiss again. Draco willingly gave in when he found my arms lacing themselves around his neck. His calloused hands slid down to my waist where he tightened his hold on me.
There was a sense of urgency. Like if he didn't kiss me with intense passion then there would be no point in kissing me at all.
My mind was in a car race and it was like Draco was in the lead. He couldn't be thinking clearly. He had called me a mudblood about ten minutes prior.
When I finally came to my senses, I pulled away. My eyes blinked rapidly and my hands fell to my sides in astonishment.
Draco was staring at me with just as much confusion and distaste. His stone now bright eyes were wide and his lips were parted and slightly swollen.
"What the hell was that for?" Draco practically spat out.
You've got to be kidding me.
"You're the one who kissed me, you prick!" I was on the verge of shouting again. How in Merlin's name could this be my fault too?
Draco obviously knowing that I was right, sighed in frustration. One of his hands that had been at my waist ran through his hair as he turned to face away from me.
I suddenly felt very cold and found myself somewhat missing the warmth his kiss had breathed into me.
My mind was still busy trying to keep up with what just happened because... what the actual fuck.
"Talk about McLaggen kissing me without consent." I started to break the awkward silence. "When you just grabbed me and shoved your tongue down my throat!"
I didn't add how some part of me wanted it. It was made evident when I kissed him back... I kissed him back. Am I ill? The girls are gonna have a field day when I tell them about this.
Draco faced me again at that with humour in the quirk of his eyebrows and the gleam in his eyes. "I tried to pull away, you idiot. You're the one that held me hostage!"
I bit my lip because I was somehow despite the confusing situation on the verge of laughing. Hostage? Please.
Draco noticed my amusement and his face turned cold, all traces of humour on his part dissipating before my very eyes. "If you laugh at me, Birdie, I will hex you off this tower!"
That set me over the edge. Laughter burst out of me before I could do anything about it. My hands flew up to cover my kissed lips attempting to trap its sound in my palms. Draco closed his eyes and his jaw locked in irritation as he watched me laugh at him. His seriousness made me fall apart even more. My eyes glossed over with the effect of my laughter.
"It's not my fault." I managed through bubbles of giggles. "You're gonna throw me off the tower? I'd like to see you try."
Draco spoke with silence and failed to communicate with his eyes. They were stone cold and were successful in playing their part to form his poker face. He seemed to be waiting for me to finish this episode but probably concluded it wasn't ending anytime soon because he moved towards the trapdoor.
