Violet's pOv:

"Has Hogsmede always had a knockoff of the Weasley's shop? I swear it wasn't here last year." Izzy questioned with a tilt of her head as she stared up at the faded pink of the sweet shop sign.

"You've literally been in here before. Remember the time you got so drunk last year that you ended up buying twelve boxes of fizzing whizzbees?" I reminded her with a giggle. Her face lit up in recognition as she squeezed her eyes shut tightly at the memory. I could feel the cringe and embarrassment emitting from her in waves.

"Ugh. Don't remind me." Molly added with a sour expression and pinched lip. "She ate five boxes in one go and threw up all over my bed. If I remember correctly, I'm the one who suffered the most from that." That was a traumatic night for her.

"I've never been so sick in my life." Even being reminded of that fateful night made Izzy and Molly look like they were going to gag.

"Okay! In the shop, we go. You guys aren't making me relive that memory with the full experience." I stated firmly as nudged them towards the striped door of the sweet shop.

Eccentric noise buzzed through the sugary air as I observed the interior. There must have been some kind of magic because staircases twirled up for what seemed like miles. The pink and yellow striped shelves made my head hurt. Was the decorator's plan to hypnotise people?

What felt like hundreds of students chattered away each with arms filled with Bertie Bott's beans and puking pastilles.

I turned to Izzy as I heard her laugh to herself. In her hand was a packet of colour-changing hair chocolates. She flipped them around in her fingers and held them up to me."Present for Malfoy?"

As tempting as the idea was  I shook my head. "He'd probably write to his father to have us expelled." But what I would give to see the Slytherin prince with pink hair.

Izzy snorted but looked disappointed as she set the packet down. "Shame. It'd be worth it though. Maybe next year."

We took our time in the shop. I made sure to stock up on basically everything. After all, the greatest love of anyone's life is food.

As I made my way back over to Molly and Izzy, a sudden force knocked into me. Luckily I had a firm grip on the food so nothing spilled. I didn't need any more humbling moments.

"Oi! What's your problem?" Hearing Draco's deep voice as always made me sigh. Turning around, Draco's eyebrows were furrowed and his jaw was clenched again. He loves doing that. My eyes shifted to Blaise who was with him. He took one look at me, rolled his eyes and made his way over to the till.

It took me a moment to register what Draco had actually said because I was too preoccupied with trying to figure out an escape route. Trust him to get mad at me for literally breathing air.

"What's my problem? You just bumped into me!" I protested as my voice slightly raised. It just came naturally to get annoyed at him now. After all, I've been doing it since first year. Every time words came out of his mouth I wanted to go hiking up a mountain so I could jump off it.

Draco scowled and opened his mouth to say something but before words escaped him an elder shop worker who was holding about several coloured boxes in his hands wanted to get past. Draco huffed irritatedly before stepping forward and pushing me slightly back against a shelving unit. I gasped in surprise as Draco's hands gripped the shelves on each side of me, making me a prisoner in his arms. He crushed some of my sweet packets against my chest.

"Do you mind!?"

"Not at all."

I didn't even bother rolling my eyes. He wouldn't see it anyway. The only view I had was of Draco's chest and suddenly I couldn't smell the sickly air of the sweets. The familiar minty cologne made me feel slightly dizzy.
