THE DAY BEGAN with yet another one of Marie's trek's across the car park towards school however this time, she wasn't alone. This morning she was greeted by Artie, Mercedes and Tina who invited her to try out some runs with them. Even Mr Schue joined them briefly to test out what Mercedes had taught them. Marie was practically walking on air when she got to her locker. She spotted Quinn, Santana and a couple of other cheerios laughing and pointing at something. She turned around to see what it was, when it hit her. They were talking about her. She quickly turned around before Quinn could see she had noticed them but it was too late. She tried to walk faster but there was no point.
"Hey Marie!" Quinn's voice came from behind her, clear as a bell. Marie tried to ignore her but she carried on going,
"I saw you in Glee Club last week!"
Marie decided there was no point in running away so she spun around,
"You did?"
She placed her hands on her hips, daring to look the blonde directly in the eyes,
"Yeah I did."
Quinn face was displaying that same intense look that could make anyone run away, but Marie refused to crumble. 
"Nice dance moves."
Quinn smirked and walked away, leaving the other cheerleaders in peals of laughter. Marie rolled her eyes and walked away. Does she know her boyfriend is in the exact same club?

Glee club rehearsal began with Mr Schue having them sing a disco song. Marie wasn't really feeling it but she joined in anyways. Honestly, the only person who really seemed to be feeling it was Rachel. Mercedes definitely wasn't feeling it when Rachel did a high kick in her face,
"Woah, woah! Hell to the no-"
Rachel rolled her eyes but that only fuelled Mercedes fire,
"First of all, you try to bust in my face and I will cut you!"
She then directed her attention to Mr Schuester, "And also, this song is terrible!"
Marie was eternally grateful that Mercedes said that first. 
"Okay, no no, it's not the song, you guys just need to get into it!"
Marie rolled her eyes at Mr Schue, "No it's the song."
Kurt nodded and added, "I agree. It's really gay."
Marie almost laughed out loud- that guy wears Marc Jacobs.
"We need modern music Mr Schue-" Artie began but was cut off,
"I'm sorry guys, we don't have time to discuss this! We're doing this song this Friday at the pep assembly!"
Marie's face was the picture of horror- there was no way she could be seen with the glee club in front of everyone at all- much less with this song!
"I-in front of the whole school?" Tina stammered, clearly just as horrified as Marie.
"Exactly!"
Mr Schue's optimism was confusing- couldn't he see how nobody wanted to do his stupid disco song?"
"They're gonna throw fruit at us! And I just had a facial!"
Kurt gestured to his face and Marie smiled sympathetically. 
"I'll press charges if that happens."
Marie knew Rachel was deadly serious, so added,
"I don't know about you, but being across from Rachel Berry in court seems pretty damn scary-"
Tina and Mercedes smiled at her remark and Rachel looked like she was gonna add something but Mr Schue interjected,
"Guys! I can't express to you how important this assembly is. We need recruits! There are seven of you and we need twelve to qualify for Regionals! We have no choice- or the club is over. I know you guys don't like this song but we took Nationals back in 93 with Freak Out!"
Marie frowned, "Yeah but that was 93, not 2009-"
"It's a crowd pleaser! Trust me."
Everyone looked around, their expressions mirroring each others- each displaying clear dismay. 
Mr Schue clapped his hands twice, "From the top!"
Everyone else started to move- except Finn, Rachel and Marie.
"I'm dead!" Finn stated before walking away from the two girls.
"So am I, might as well accept it." Marie shrugged and headed back to her starting position, leaving Rachel deep in thought.

Marie sat next to Rachel, trying to talk to her about dance at yet another Glee rehearsal but she seemed pretty preoccupied with staring at Finn. 
"Hey, Rachel! Are you listening?"
Marie rolled her eyes and laughed slightly.
"What? Oh, yeah I love ballet..."
Rachel didn't even look at Marie.
"Someone's got a crush on Finny who's dating head bitch Quinny who hates both of usss..." Marie teased Rachel in a sing-song voice to which the diva folded her arms and frowned,
"I'm aware of that."
Just at that moment, in walked Mr Schuester. 
"Hey guys! How about a little Kanye?"
The club shot each other glances and cheered. Were they going to get out of singing disco at the assembly?
"At the assembly?"  Mercedes spoke for everyone,
"No-"
That killed everyone's mood.
"It's not gonna be ready in time, we're still doing Disco. But, we can fold this into our repertoire and it'll be awesome at Regionals!"
 Marie rolled her eyes and folded her arms,
"Communication is the foundation of any successful music group. If we're gonna succeed, we need to communicate! You guys said you wanted modern music, I listened!"
Mr Schuester had done what they asked, just not in time for when they wanted it.
"Mr Schue, we'd really like to not do disco at that assembly..."
Everybody nodded in agreement with Artie but Mr Schue ignored him,
"Finn you're gonna take the solo-"
This woke him up.
"What? No, I- I can't do the solo Mr Schue, I'm still learning how to walk and sing at the same time...."
Mr Schue began to take his jacket off, "No problem, I'll walk you through it."
Marie buried her head in her hands, she did not wanna see Mr Schuester rapping.
"Mercedes, you got this?"
The girl smirked and replied, "Oh I got this."
