Chapter Six: SlenderMan

Nicole approached an oddly old town. It was like an old village in the old days. The houses was all log cabins and the only light they used was candles or very cheap light bulbs. Nicole rocked the restless baby in her arms and lurked in the shadows of the night. It was nightfall and everyone seems to hurry inside. Why? She didn't know. Nicole stepped closer to a cabin and laid the baby on the door step. It was obvious that there was no childcare centers, so Nicole decided to just leave a baby in front of a door step. Once there, Nicole knocked on the door and ran as fast as she could to hide behind a tree. She watched as the door open and a women in her 20's pick the baby up with shock. A smile was on her lips as the baby wakes up and crys. The women stood there for awhile, rocking and caring for the baby. Finally she walks in the cabin.

Nicole sighed in relief and walked to the house to where the baby was. She looked through a window and watch the women place the sleeping child in her bed. Nicole smiled lightly, but frowned. She was happy the baby had a place to live, but she was also alone again. Nicole sighed heavily and began to walk to the woods, but stopped inches from the bridge of the woods line. A tall figure stood beside a tree. It almost looked like a tree, but Nicole knew damned well that was something different. She stared at it, an emotionless face on once again. She could care less if she died right there and then. Nicole kneeled down to slip her knife out of her boot, but to only realized she left her only knife at the old man house. Realizing she has no chance against any monsters, Nicole took off in the opposite side of the figure.

Nicole stopped, finally. Her legs burned and her lungs begged for air. She calmed her breath by falling to the ground on her knees. She was hoping she lost the tall-slender-person. Something about that figure gave her ghose bumps. Nicole stood from the ground and began walking. She didn't know where she was going, but she continued anyway. Once she passed an knowable sign, she knew where she was at. Nicole ran as fast as she could to the first cabin she ever came to. She walked in without warning and found her knife on the floor, where she left it to pick up the baby. Maybe the old man don't mind if she stays here. Nicole hesitated to walk to the bathroom. She was scard to see a mirror; to see herself. Just as she entered the small bathroom, she spotted a tall mirror on the wall. Her stomach had a dangling blood stained cloth and the white doctor coat was tore and covered by blood and dirt. Her pants and inside shirt was ripped to the most. Her hair was cut carelessly, causing it to look slightly messy. Even though the back of her hair was short, Nicole's bangs was as long as her face. Nicole grabbed the mirror without hesitation and shoved it to the ground. It shattered across the floor, causing sharp shards to cover the ground. Nicole kneeled down and moved the long broad into the hallway and dusted the shards into a corner with her boots before undressing. Seeing herself so pitiful hurt her. She never thought she would end up like this. Nicole stepped into the bathtub, turning the water on for a shower. She closed the curtain and lend against the shower wall. The slightly hot water tickled down her face and body, causing sharp pains and groans from Nicole. The cuts on her stomach wasn't that bad, but it was the cuts in her mouth and open wounds she got from falling and walking so far. Nicole stood silently there. The water still flowing over her cold body. She refused to cry. She refused, but still tears streamed down her face. She was so confused about everything.

" You know if your hurt you should tell someone," these words bonded themselves inside Nicole's head. Maybe the old man was right, but who could she tell..... No one was with her and she doesn't have a friend that haven't abandoned her. Nicole cliched her hands to tight fist and punched the shower wall. It shook, but yet it didn't brake. With a sigh, Nicole washed her hair with some random shampoo. It was boys shampoo, but she didn't care. Nicole finished her shower by washing the dirt and blood from her body. She turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. Just then she noticed: she can't wear the same cloths and there was no towel in sight. Nicole cursed under her breath and began searching for some thing. Out of luck, she found towels under the sick. Nicole grabbed one and wrapped it around her waist and chest. She walked out of the bathroom in search for cloths. All that she could find was the old mans cloths and baby cloths, so she just grabbed random shirt and decided just to wear her underwear around the house. It's not like someone else lives here. Nicole slipped in the bathroom and changed into what ever she had. The shirt was slightly to big on her, so it hung over her thigh. Nicole exited the bathroom and clinched her noise. There was the most degusting smell lurking in the hallways. Then she hit herself, she left the old mans dead body in a closet, no wonder it stinks. Nicole glanced outside to see the sun just raising up, casting small lights everywhere. She better get digging...
