Chapter 1

Kim Mara

It's been 2 weeks since I wished on a shooting star. And since its been so long, I decided that dwelling on it won't do me much.

Though, I admit that I'm a little disappointed that my wish will never be true.

Enough of that, I'm currently inside the Black Limousine that was supposed to bring me into the Kim Mansion.

Honestly, I dislike my parents. I know that they were busy and don't have time for me but I seriously never had a dinner with them on the same table except when we have an important event like today.

I look at the window and saw the scenery slowly changed until all I can see now were luxurious mansions and with that I knew that were close. Close to the place that I was supposed to call home but thought of it as large prison instead.

Were here. The driver goes outside and and open the door for me. He offered his hand which I take before stepping out of the Limousine.

I straighten my dress to make sure I look presentable before moving my gaze towards the enormous white mansion in front of me.

Maids and Butlers were lined up and bowing to me before they all said in sync, "Welcome home, Young Lady"

I smiled and nods to them before walking ahead. My back straight and I held my chin high. I also make sure to emit some pressure to show my superiority like how u was taught to.

Passing by the large white double door that have the dining room on the other side, I take a deep breath making sure my smile is perfect as I signaled the guard to announce my arrival.

John, the name of the guard that I happen to know because of the the name tag on his chest cleared his throat. "Presenting the arrival of the heiress of the Kim Business Empire, Young Lady Kim Mira"

The grand door opens as I walked in. Confidence radiating off me. I saw my parents and 2 middle age man and woman (which I assume were a couple base on the look that they gave each other) with a rather handsome European man (which I once again assume as their son)

I sent them by business smile before kissing my Mother and Father on the cheeks. I redirected my gaze to the three people in front of me who is fortunately, preparing to introduce themselves

"Good afternoon to you Young Lady. I am Mark Paterson. This is my wife, Rosenda Paterson and our son Adam Paterson. It is a pleasure to meet you" Mr. Paterson said

"Kim Mara is the name Mr. Paterson. And the pleasure is all mine" I said smiling at him with my business smile once again

"Oh dear child, call me Mark as it will be confusing as we have two Mr. Paterson here" He joked to me which I only nodded at

"So, what business do you guys have here? I'm confused since I haven't been informed on what this meeting all about" I asked since I have a really bad feeling about this

"Don't worry sweety. We'll get to it later. For now let's eat. Chefs! Bring in the Dishes!" Mom said as Chefs of different age and gender brought in a lot delicious looking food that I'm sure as hell taste delicious as well

A minute later, the spacious table is now filled with different kind of foods. It has sushi, carbonara, adobo and other Eastern and Western cuisine

We then started started eating with my parents and the Paterson Family talking about business while I keep eating, ignoring them
