"Did your mom allow?" Amelia asked her best friend Brenda.
"Yes!" She replied. Amelia took out a poster out of her blue school bag. It had a picture of Duncan on it, and Amelia's address and phone number. Fortunately, Amelia managed to snap a picture of Duncan on the way to the park. In the picture, Duncan was looking up at Amelia, mouth gripping onto a twig.
"Aww...that's so cute!" Brenda replied.
As the girls hung up their coats by the school was and walked into their classroom, just when the bell rang. All throughout the time in school, Amelia fidgeted, she found it extremely difficult to concentrate on what her teachers were saying. Even during break Amelia chatted away about Duncan with Brenda. Finally the last bell sounded. Grabbing her school bag and coat, Amelia rushed out, with Brenda by her side. The corridors were filled up with excited students, making their way out as fast as they could, pushing through the crowd. Soon,Amelia and Brenda were skipping happily to Amelia's home.
"Hi girls!" Amelia's mom greeted them with a warm smile at the front door. Although Amelia knew Duncan wasn't here, she half expected him to find his way home and run up to her barking.
