Wait- you can do that? { Avenger's oneshot}

"Who ya texting?"

Peter jumped, turning to see Steve standing behind the couch, an amused smile on his face. "Just MJ, she's just planning something..with her significant..other.." Peter faded out the last bit, not wanting to slip but not wanting to lie. He wasn't sure how Steve would react, being from forever ago and all that.

"Oh yeah?" He smiled, coming to sit next to him on the couch, "Who's the lucky guy?"

"Mr. Rogers..She's dating.. a girl," he mildly curled in on himself, watching as Steves face fell into a confused frown. "Before you freak out!" He shouted, snapping the captian from his thoughts, "Let me explain."

"Kid-"

"No, okay," He took a quick breath to collect his thoughts, "She's part of the LGBTQ+ community. That stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer. There's others, but thats the gist of it. MJ is Pan, she likes people, doesn't matter what they identify as. And that's totaly fine! No one judges her, or says she's wrong because the world, Idealy, sees it as Love is love. That's not always how it is, but most of the time, everyone accepts everyone."

"Wait," he took a moment to process, "So it's okay to like, not just one type of human? Like, Guys can like guys, and women can like other women? and it's totally fine?"

Peter smiled, trying to hide the nervousnes in his voice, "Yeah!"

"So, what do the others mean? The LBGQ?"

"Uh, close! It's LGBTQ+. L is Lesbian, where a woman is only attracted to other women, they also have great sence of style might I add," He chuckled, "G is Gay, which mean Guys are only attracted to other guys. B stands for Bisexual, which is when one person is attracted to both genders. Like a Girl likes guys and girls!"

"Wait- you can do that?" Gears seemed to be finally turning in Steve's head, as he processed that last bit.

"Yeah, loads of people are Bi! I'm pretty sure Mr. Stark is bi whether he knows it or not.." He mumbled the last bit, but he didn't regret the comment. "And as the world warms up to the community, more and more of the population is letting themselves be who they are, so numbers in all the catagories are rising! It's kinda amazing, when you think about it."

He smiled, "Yeah, I guess so. what do the other's mean?"

"Um," He didn't expect Steve to be so interested, but he was happy he was, "T stands for trans, which means one person is born one gender, but their brain tells them they're a differen gender and they make changes so they're comfortable and happy in their body as whoever they want to be!"

"So, like, A man can become a woman if he feels he's actualy a woman instead?"

Peter nodded in aproval, "Yup, exactly!"

Steve slowly nodded aswell, "That's actualy pretty cool."

"Yeah it is!" Now he had a huge grin on his face, "That's pretty much it. Some people don't identify with either gender, so they use They/Them pronouns. They aren't a boy, and they aren't a girl. There's loads of groups in the LGBT+ community, give it a quick google search- uh you know what google is right?"

"Yes peter," He sighed with a laugh, "I know what Google is. I'm not totaly helpless."

"Oh, uh sorry, anyways Google it and you can find a list of a lot of different groups and what it means!"

Steve nodded, "That's cool. Can you go over what, um..was it Bi- Bisexual?"

"Yeah, Bisexual, or bi for short! Is when A guy likes both girls and guys, and occasionaly Non-bianry people. Same with girls, it's when she likes both girls and guys and occasionaly Non-bianry people."
