September 2nd 2019.

I woke up the next morning,only managing to get less than 3 hours of sleep.
"Ellie! Wake up! Breakfast is ready!" my father shouted from downstairs. I'm guessing everyone else is already awake, since he didn't call anyone else's name.

I got out of bed, got changed and ready for the day. Today I was going to Hogwarts. I ran down stairs and sat at the dining table; placing waffles and some fruit on my plate.

"Now I just want to make sure that you're completely sure with your decision. Are you a hundred percent sure you want to go?" my father asked me.
"Yes dad, I want to go, I'm sure." I replied before stuffing a waffle in my mouth.
"Wait what? W-where's Ellie going?" Jace asked, confused.
"Ellie will be moving schools."
"She's what!?where is she going?"
"She'll be going to hogwarts."
"She'll be what!?" This time it was my step mother talking. "Andrew, can we talk in private?" she said in a serious yet mad tone.

They left the dining room to go into another room.
"So, you're actually leaving?" Jace asked me as soon as they left.
"Yes. apparently my mum went to that school too; so i wanted to try it out too. I might even decide to come back. But that really just depends on how the school will turn out to be. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I only just got my acceptance letter yesterday; I didn't know I would be moving before then either. Sorry Jace." he looked stunned.

"I- you don't have to apologize, it's fine. I'm just kind of sad that we won't be going to the same school.'' Before I knew it he embraced me in a tight hug. "I'll miss you ellie." he whispered against my hair as I melted into his arms. He pulled away and gave me a soft peck on the cheek; "even though you're not my biological sister you'll always feel like one to me. And if you ever need anything, don't be afraid to ask; i'll always be there for you.'' This made me smile and I could feel a silent tear roll down my cheek. He must have noticed it because next thing i knew his thumb was wiping it away.

I quickly stood up on my tippy toes and threw my arms around his neck, embracing jace in another tight hug. He placed his arms around my lower back as I whispered into his ear; "you're the best brother ever, Jace." lightly pecking his cheek. This caused him to hug me even tighter.

We pulled away and continued to eat our breakfast. After a while we heard shouting.
"She's going!end of conversation. She is my daughter, and I decide what's best for her!" i heard my fathers voice.
"If she leaves to that stupid school then that means this marriage is over!"  this time it was my step mother shouting at him.
"Fine. I want what's best for my daughter. And if that means not being with you, then let be it.'' I could hear a door slam. And after a couple seconds my father walked into the room. Both mine and Jace’s heads turned to face him.

"Dad, are you okay?" i runned up to him and hugged him.
"Yes sweetheart. I'm fine." he certainly didn't sound fine.
"Are you two actually going to get divorced?" i might not have liked my step mother but she seemed to make my dad happy. And that's all I wanted; for my dad to be happy. Especially after what happened to my mother.
"I'm not sure sweetheart. But dont worry about it. Now go get your things packed. I'm going to drop Jace off at school and then come back and drive you to the station." he said. He sounded hurt. But i listened to him and went up stairs into my room and started to pack my things.

Once my father got back i put all my stuff into the car and we drove off. First we arrived at some place called ‘Diagon Alley’. My father said that this is where I would get all of my things. I even got to pick out my own pet to take with me to hogwarts. I chose a beautiful black owl with the brightest yellow eyes. She was beautiful, i still don't have a name for her, but i could think of that later. I even got to have my own wand. I loved ‘magic’ even thorough i knew it was only tricks and illusions, it still managed to fascinate me everytime. Apparently I would be able to do actual magic and spells. Or at least that's what my father told me.

After about two hours of shopping we arrived at the train station; my father told me to run at a wall in between two platforms. Was he crazy? I trusted my father and ran at the wall. Closing my eyes tightly in the process.

When i next opened them i was behind another wall. Where was i? There was a red train with a sign on it ‘Hogwarts Express’. I saw loads of people boarding the train and thought that this must of been the train that would take me to hogwarts.

I walked through the corridor and found an empty compartment. After a while the train began to move and I could see parents waving goodbye to their children. My father left right after he made sure that i walked through the wall.

I sat in my compartment just reading a book until I heard the door open and I looked up. My eyes locked with a brunette boy.
"Hello, could I sit here?" he asked me. I nodded my head in response and he sat opposite me. "What's your name? I've never seen you at hogwarts before."

"Im Eleanor Johnson. But everyone calls me Ella or Ellie. What's your name?" I held out my hand.
He shook my hand and replied; "Matheo Riddle. You have a beautiful name." he smiled. This caused me to smile and even blush a little.
"Thank you Matheo."
"You're welcome… so, are you new here?"
"Yes actually. Are you?"
"No, I've been going to this school since second year. And my older brother has been going there since his first year. Tom Riddle."

Me and Matheo talked for the whole of the train ride. He was an interesting guy. And I was happy to make a friend on my first day here. After hours and hours of the train ride, it finally stopped. Matheo held out his hand to help me up from my seat. I took it and he pulled me up.

We walked over to some carriages, me and Matheo sat in one. I saw him wave at someone but didn't think much of it. A little bit later another brunette boy came in, along with a blonde boy. They sat opposite me and Matheo.

"Who's this? " the blonde boy asked Matheo.
"This is Ellie. I found her sitting alone on the train. "
"Draco Malfoy." He stuck his hand out for me to shake.
"Eleanor Johnson. " I smiled as I shook his hand.
"Tom Riddle. " the brunette boy introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you Tom. " I smiled.

While they were all asking me questions about myself and my background I looked out the window and my mouth dropped. The view was beautiful.
"You can tell she's new." said Tom, and all three of them chuckled.
Looking out the window there was a beautiful castle. Hogwarts. When I first boarded the train I was scared;but now I'm excited.

In front of me was a large brown door. And around me stood little kids. They were all first years. Before the large door stood a woman. She introduced herself as Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall instructed me to follow her. As I did we entered through the large doors. The first years had to wait outside until I was sorted;since I was the only one not joining the first year.

The professor held up an old looking hat. It looked as though it had a face. She told me to sit on a wooden stool, in front of everyone. I did as she said and then she placed the hat onto my head.

The hat started to talk: "ahh, strong, determined, kind, and loyal. Very trustworthy, and ambitious. Now where should I put you… ha, I know! SLYTHERIN!" The hat shouted.

Everyone started to clap. I saw Matheo waving over at me. I walked to where he was sitting. Next to him sat Tom, and next to Tom sat Draco. Next to him sat two other guys, they looked quite big. I sat opposite Matheo. Next to a black haired girl, who was talking to another girl.

As soon as I sat down Draco spoke up; "good job on making Slytherin, Ellie. This is crabe, and that's goyle." He pointed to the two guys sitting next to him.
"Nice to meet you. " I smiled at them.
"Hi I'm Pansy Parkinson. " said the girl from beside me, as she held out her hand for me to shake.
"Eleanor Johnson. " I shook her hand.
"Johnson? I think I've heard that name somewhere before. " said the other girl from behind her.
"Annnd that's astoria. " pansy said.
"Astoria Greengrass. " she shook my hand.
"Nice to meet you Astoria. " I smiled.

The first years got sorted and then the feast began. We all ate and after pansy helped me to the slytherin dormitories. I found out that me, her, Astoria, and another girl named Holly would be sharing a dorm.

We all unpacked our things and since it was pretty late when we finished we went straight to bed. I could not wait for my first day at this school.
