Matheo-

When she fell asleep, I quietly got up, hoping not to wake her. She shuffled a little, but when I made sure she was asleep I walked over to my desk.

I haven't done any work set out of class and I had to have it done before tomorrow's last lesson. Meaning I had to do it now or get into serious trouble.

I studied for hours, El started to toss in her sleep at one point. "El… Ellie… love, wake up…" I gently tried to wake her up. She suddenly sat up. Breathing heavily. "It's ok darling. I'm here." I wrapped my arms around her to calm her down. "Nightmare?" I asked softly. She nodded her head. I felt tears soak my bare chest. It hurt me to know she was crying. But it also calmed me to know that I was the one there for her.

After a while she fell back asleep. I layed her back down on my bed and slowly went back to the desk to finish of the last bit of work.

When I was almost done I heard a slight tap on the window. I looked up from my parchment and saw a brown owl that I did not recognise. I opened the window, taking the note from its beak and letting it fly off.

The black envelope was sealed with green wax. It was from my father. I cautiously tore it open. And red it in my head.

'Hello son, I'd like to inform you that we are having a meeting tomorrow at 6:00.when you get home for Christmas. After which you will be able to go anywhere you wish, just like any other Christmas. I don't have enough time to write another letter for your brother. So pass this information onto him.
-your father.'

I should've known we would have another stupid meeting before Christmas. I would usually stay at the malfoy manor with Tom. But I was thinking about asking El if I could stay with her this year.

I looked at the clock on one of the walls and only then did I realize how late it was. I placed the letter on top of the desk and quietly climbed back into bed with Ellie. Spooning her.
