It was all silent.

All she could hear was the sound of her racing heartbeat as the hungry Titan grew closer.

Her mind then started to imagine what death would be like for her. Would it embrace her with sheer, cold darkness? Perhaps it'll welcome her to the gates of the afterlife? Or maybe it'll sent her into the depths of hell, where all sinners must burn for eternity?

It was probably the last one. The weight of her past pressed upon her, reminding her of the all the wrongdoings she had committed, and the suffering she brought upon the world.

Would death be the ultimate punishment for her sins? Would she be condemned to be burned for eternity, paying for the actions she did in this world? Images of blazing red flames, of screams of agony of the people she inflicted pain upon, of curses and death wishes upon her by the people that suffered because of her, flickered through her mind like wild fire.

She couldn't escape the guilt that consumed her, constricting her every thought. The weight of her actions bore down upon her soul, suffocating her with remorse and regret. The echoes of the people who deem her as a devil reverberated through her consciousness, haunting every inch of her mind, till the darkest corners.

This was a fitting ending for her. A monster that brought pain and suffering, poisoned the world just by her mere existence, pretending to be a hero that will save humanity. This gruesome ending is perfect for such a monstrous being like her.

But did she want this ending...?

Tokyo, Japan, May 2014

Frightened eyes shot open as its pupils shake. It gradually calms down, as it glanced around the unfamiliar room.

The room was practically all white, no windows to see if it was day or night. On one side of the room, bandages, scissors gloves and other medical appliances were laid on a metalic table.

In the middle of the room, was a hospital bed with Y/N laying on it. IV infusions were attached on both of her arms, while oxygen tubes entered her nose. The bed was somewhat... nice. It wasn't as hard as a rock like her bed back in the Scouts' HQ. This bed was comfortable and soft.

She pressed one hand on the bed, supporting her to sit up. A jolt of pain shot through her body as she instinctively pressed a hand to her abdomen, her head twitching down. Clad in a hospital gown, she could feel thick bandages wrapping around her lower body.

Another jolt of pain shot through her head as she gripped it, feeling bandages wrapping it too. Her memories soon came rushing back into her head like wild fire.

Getting cornered by the enemy. Being ordered to fight the Beast Titan and create an opening for Levi. The Commander being hit by a boulder. Her limbs being teared off by the Beast Titan. Her body being thrown to a Titan. Crashing into an unknown classroom. Pointing a sword at them before passing out. Those insufferable noises that ring out in her ears.

Crap.

She didn't know where she was.

She needed to get out of here, fast.
