Mae's POV
"Hello baby" My mom spoke as I walked into the animal shelter.
My family owns "Presscott's Animal Shelter" where we take in stray dogs, cats, birds, pretty much any abandoned animal that needs a home or rehabilitating.
"Hi mama" I hug her.
"Can you please check on the puppies and give them water" She asks carrying boxes of food and putting them into the storage room.
"Course" I replied going to where the puppy pin is.
"Mae!" Someone busted through the doors.
Turning around to see my cousin Melissa.
"Yes" I answered back calmly kneeling down to pet the puppies.
"You won't believe it!" She screeched.
"Won't believe what?" My mom walked over to us.
"Calum from five seconds of summer needs someone to watch his gold fish while on tour!" She clapped her hand together happily, "He's having 'auditions'"
Me and my mom looked at each other then busted out laughing.
"Auditions to take care of a gold fish?" My mom said through laughter.
"Come one Mae you have to audition please" Mellisa said ignoring our laughter.
"Listen I love 5 Seconds of Summer too but we all know he's going to choose an extremely pretty girl not me plus I'm way to awkward for that" I gave her a reality check
"Oh shut up Mae your pretty and qualified your going to that audition one way or another"
