Mae's POV
After plenty of begging I gave into Melissa's idea. I put on a dark purple skirt and black shirt pulling my hair back into a ponytail. I gave my self a little pep talk before leaving my front door.

"Bye mom" I called out to her.

"Bye sweetie love you" She replied from the kitchen.

Shutting the door I made my way to the bus stop. The ride took 30 minutes this better be worth the time. Oh who am I kidding of course its going to be worth it I'm going to get to see Calum Hood. I squealed as I got off the bus making a couple of heads turn towards my direction. Shrugging them off I continued my journey to the building where the auditions are being held. Finally arriving I gasped the line rapped around the block. I don't know why I was expecting to get in and out easily I guess I sorta forgot how big of a deal 5 Seconds of Summer is. Giving myself a push I got in the back of the line.

Of course with my bad luck it took 3 hours just for me too get in, I'm the last one to go.

"Next" The voice called sounding drained.

Oh my God I can't believe I'm doing this breathe breathe. Getting in front of the table there sat 3 people and in the middle sat Calum looking down at his phone boredly.

"And what's your name?" Calum asked me not even look looking up.

"Mae Grace Presscott" I spoke shyly

"Nice name" he said not too enthusiastically.

Finally he put his phone down and looked up at me. I blushed deeply as his eyes scanned up and down my body.

"What makes you elidgble for this job?"

"Well" I spoke nervously, "my family owns a animal shelter...I've been helping out there sense before I could remember."

"Have you ever taken care of fish?" Calum asked seriously

"Umm yes but not in the animal shelter" I said putting my head down.

"Your American" Calum said

What does being American have to do with taking care of his fish.

"Yes I am, my mom and I moved here last year to be closer to family" I answered him anyway.

"Oh family oriantated I like it and your exotic" He nodded his head approvingly.

"I wouldn't call America exotic" I inquired

"Yeah yeah whatever...you got the job" He got up happily and made his way to me shaking my hand eagerly.
