Police sirens were heard from the distance as the footsteps of police officers were getting closer and closer.
Everyone in the group started to stress a little, but quickly recovered. There was no time to waste. They needed to get out of here.
Well. Almost everyone.
Quackity was already sweating from the stress. He knew what would happen if they got caught. All he could expect is pain, and he wasn't the best with it. He got anxiety just thinking about it and that's because of a reason he would rather not talk about.
"Quackity." Dream whispered to get Quackity out of his thoughts. He saw sweat dripping from Quackity's forehead, but didn't question it. All he thought about is escaping this shit.
Quackity broke out of his train of thoughts as he looked at Dream and started listening.
"Alright. All of us need to split up, so the police won't catch our whole group. After all of you are sure that you're safe, click the purple button on your phone screen. It will send a signal to our base and Sapnap's boss will get us back." Dream explained, "If you know the police is going to catch you, throw out the phone and don't panic, understood?" Dream said.
Everyone nodded, understanding the plan clearly. After that, Dream also nodded and all of them ran in different directions.
Almost everyone was successful in their escape.
Almost.
Unfortunately for Quackity, the most police officers ran after him. He didn't have much experience in missions. He usually got left at the base and stayed there until his Boss came back.
His legs were killing him and his heart was racing.
As Quackity was running, he saw that he was going straight to the dead end of an alley.
Shit.
He didn't know what to do.
That was until he heard someone.
"RUN TO THE RIGHT!" Someone shouted as he was closer to the wall. Should he trust them? What if it was a trap?
'Fuck it' Quackity thought and run to the right, where he in fact found a free way with no police.
Perfect.
His legs didn't stop running as he started to hear shouting behind himself and the footsteps getting fainter.
That was until he heard someone right beside him.
He quickly looked at the person, expecting it to be a cop, but to his surprise it was no one like it.
It was a boy, taller than him in a dark purple overall and cute fluffy hair, that were moving with the wind as he ran.
"Who the fuck are you?" Quackity shouted to the boy, startling him, but oh well.
"Oh, uh, I'm the one that helped you escape." The boy said back, his voice soothing to the ears.
"How can I trust you?!" Quackity shouted again.
"Well, if you don't want to get caught, turn to the left and hide us both in the spot between the walls!" The boy shouted back, already going to the left side of the alley.
Quackity questioned his choices and decided that he would get caught anyway, so he decided to listen to his 'apparent savior'.
Both of them went into the left alley and Quackity grabbed the boy's hand, shoving them both into the small hole between the walls.
The smaller male looked back into the street they came from and saw police officers running in the wrong directions.
"Good job, handsome." Said the boy, scaring Quackity.
"Jesus Christ! I forgot you were here!" He looked back at his savior and blushed when he saw how close they were. Their noses were almost touching. Damn.
"Uh, so what's your name and why did you help me?" Quackity asked, ignoring the awkward closeness they were in.
"Should I tell you this?" The boy said, seeming to ask himself, "Honk this, I'm Karl! I'm a spy." The boy answered, smiling.
"A what?" Quackity asked in serious tone. He was stuck here with a fucking spy. The one that also helped him escape.
"A spy silly!" Karl repeted himself, "I know all of this seems weird and shady, but I promise I mean no harm. I would acually say that now I'm more of a criminal than anything. I have to admit, you caught my eye and it happend itself." He sighed.
Quackity looked him in the eyes and laughed. He grabbed Karl's chin with his hand and said:
"A criminal, huh?" Quackity smirked.
