Friday.

MSBY as a team had officially gotten through their first week together.

•••••°•••••°•••••

Practice started off like usual, everyone running laps, stretching, anything that got them up and moving around.

As always, this was an essential part to practice — if everyone wasn't limbered up enough to be moving around, they'd be left with nothing short of sore muscles and difficulty moving.

Then, they'd all run through multiple different drills and exercises. Sometimes they were to be done solo, yet by everyone — or, they were to be done in groups which would range from 2-4 people. Depending on the exercise.

After going through that, 3v3 games would be played. Every half an hour, the players would be switched out. Those who weren't on for the 3v3 games however wouldn't be taking a break, unless it was a quick water break. No, they'd be running laps and or practicing partnered exercises.

Then, as practice would be nearing its end, Foster would go over different tactics, strategies, and outlets if needed for when they'd be on court. During that kind of discussion time, all were allowed to pitch in as it was a team discussion — they'd share different ideas and approaches to what they were being told.

Now, even if it had only been the first week — everyone was getting along together really well, which Foster was beyond pleased to see as MSBY bonding would strengthen the team. Nevertheless, that would also improve just how well they trust one another on court, which, was vital to their function.

Saying this, it was no doubt practice that day went great and ran smoothly. By the time it was over, despite some feeling slightly exhausted, everyone was left in a relatively lively mood. That of course meant as everyone headed off for the change rooms, there was endless chatter that followed.

Most of it however, being from Hinata, Bokuto, Atsumu, and Inunaki. Alongside the casual chatter between Meian, Adriah, and Barnes of course.

Others besides those stayed relatively silent, Sakusa being one of them. Though, with his things being situated next to Atsumu's, that silence obviously wouldn't stay.

"Heya Sakusa~" Atsumu drew out the others name in a sing-song type of tone, making Sakusa sigh. "I got a question for ya!"

The dark-haired simply responded with a hum, not even sparing a glance Atsumu's way yet silently telling the other to carry on.

"Great, so, since we don't got practice on the weekend, I was wonderin' — did'ja wanna hangout?"

Knowing Atsumu — the question shouldn't have been very surprising, yet it still managed to catch Sakusa off guard. Making the dark-haired glance over to the blonde who was patiently awaiting his answer.

"Sure?" Sakusa mumbled out just barely above a whisper, still unsure whether or not Atsumu was being serious.

"Wait, really?" The blonde was definitely serious, though, he hadn't exactly expected the other to agree.

"I don't see why not, Motoya's back at his place so I have no reason not to."

This of course, earned a bright smile from Atsumu who couldn't help but feel rather excited.

"Wait," The blonde then spoke again, realizing there were already a few flaws in their plan. "Do ya still have yer old number?"

Sakusa simply shook his head in response.
"Do you?" The dark-haired then questioned.

Atsumu simply nodded in response the question.

"Your number should be in my old phone, I'll just add it to the new one and message you." Sakusa shrugged, finally taking a moment to pull a clean shirt out of his bag and throw it on.

"M'kay, sounds like a plan." The blonde nodded and with that, the two fell silent.

Everyone eventually had showered, changed, and started heading out. All sparing one another a goodbye and saying they'd see each other on Monday.

Which meant, like usual, Sakusa and Atsumu were making their ways home as well. They'd taken up the idea of walking home together considering they were going the same way anyways, and, it gave them extra time to chat about ideas to improve the team's function.

Thought that day, the two spent the walk back in a rather comfortable silence, only speaking to one another when Atsumu had to part.

The two simply bid one another farewell before Atsumu started off down his street. Everything was like usual, there were the occasional few in their front yards, while most were inside their places.

Atsumu however, would soon find out, he wouldn't end up being the only one at his place. As said blonde had walked inside, seemingly unaware of the unlocked door — a familiar voice spoke to greet him.

"Surprise, bitch."
