Hello people :) ok so cos this is mha the reader has a quirk, basically they can travel through shadows, a bit like portals, they can also hide in them.

I felt him staring at me from across the room, eyes burnt into my back in utter anger. I didn't want to turn around to face him, I knew that all I'd be met with was an enraged glare, as usual. He hated it when I spoke to Midoriya. He hated it when I spoke to anyone. In fact I think he hated my existence in general, all though I tried not to take it personally. He probably felt that way about most people in class 1-A.

Class looked as though it was going to be a bit bland to be honest, we were assigned a pretty simple task, search and rescue. It was an easy drill, one that we'd preformed many times before, so much so that any sense of danger that was present the first time we had done it had completely disappeared. That was what I was thinking, that is until they told us the twist.

'You will be capturing 'Villains' for questioning.' A buzz of confusion, excitement and surprise swept through the class as our tasks were handed out.

A few students seemed disappointed as they read through their objectives, however most seemed pleased with their assigned roles. As I scanned the few lines on the paper I really didn't know how to feel.

'Awh come on, I got villain', I heard Denki whine from the other side of the room, a mopey look on his face.

'Well yeah but look on the bright side Kaminari, Momo's gotta try and catch you!' Sero chuckled out jokingly.

'Hero here', Kirishima cheered out looking extremely pleased with himself as he turned to Bakugou, 'What did you get dude?'

He looked over to the boy with a fed up expression and a frown on his face. 'Villain', he growled as he handed Kiri the paper.

The redhead read through the lines on the paper quickly, his expression changing from one of amusement to one of worry as he skimmed over the last few sentences.

'You got y/n?' I caught his eyes for a few seconds as he looked over to me briefly, he shifted his gaze back to Bakugou. A mumble came from the irritated boy as his friends continued to question him.

I had no doubt that he'd take the task seriously, no doubt at all. That was arguably the scariest thing about the whole ordeal. I knew he would not hold back. And as I walked through the cityscape arena that worry grew stronger.

I'd been lingering for a while trying to think of something, watching him pace up and down the cracked pavements.

I knew he'd want to fight me head on and I knew I couldn't let that happen. He'd just overpower me.  And so as he stormed past, shouting out to me, I took my chances.

'COME ON Y/N, YOU CAN'T HIDE ALL DAY-' His sentence is cut short as he falls to the floor, his legs are swept from beneath him as I emerge from the shadows against the nearby wall. I move as quickly as I can, straddling his chest as I struggle to place the handcuffs on him. It doesn't take him long to react, and before I know what's happening I'm on the ground beside him. 'Shit' I think to myself, 'that went well'.

I fumble to stand but before I manage to I'm dragged back to the ground. Out of the corner of my eyes I saw one of the cuffs hanging loosely from his wrist, I struggle to move as my shoulders are ground into the rubble of the street, his red eyes glare down at me as he holds me against the rough flooring with an unreasonable force.

'STOP TRYING EXTRA, YOU WON'T WIN.' He bellows out as his hands begin to crackle.

Think, think, THINK you idiot. My mind races as I squirm underneath him. I need him to loosen his grip but how?

As the seconds tick by and my fear of failing grows stronger a crazy idea emerges in my mind. Crazy, but it might give me the time I need.

In a moment of desperation I look up at him. Fuck it.

I grab the back of his neck and lean into him, placing my lips onto his and hope for the best. He lets out a surprised noise and loosens his grip, we stay like that for a few moments and before he can realise what I'm doing I slip the second cuff around his wrist.

As a click echoes through the air, followed by the rattling of metal he freezes up. Pulling away from him I meet his confused expression, cheeks dusted with pink and greet it with an innocent smile.

Speakers blare through the arena, 'Y/N Y/L/N WINS THE TASK'
