Morgan had finished his farmwork chores for the morning and had made his way over to my clinic for a visit.

"Good morning, Morgan! I hope you are well." He removed his muddy boots and put on the trainers he kept in his bag. "Thank you for that. I have something to ask of you. Would you prefer any nickname in light of our new relationship? Or would you prefer the status quo?"

"Hmm. I'm cool with anything, but if you want something cute and fun, I'd say Morgy. Other than that, anything you want is fine. Can I call you Fordy?"

"Heh. That sounds nice. Alright then, was there anything in particular that brought you here?"

"Yep! I made you some walnut muffins. Those healthy ones that Brad gave me the recipe for."

"This is a lovely gift. I will gladly accept. In return, please accept this. It isn't anything extravagant. I didn't expect you to be here, so I didn't go out of my way to prepare it. Perish the thought."

"Aw, you don't have to do anything for me! I don't need anything extravagant. But this mashed potato is so perfectly made! I love it!" I began to blush, but immediately concealed it. He grabbed a spoon from his pocket and moved it closer to me.

"What do you want me to do with that? You couldn't possibly be trying to feed me? All right, I give in." I let him spoon the mashed potato into my mouth for me to eat. "What are you exactly trying to achieve by embarrassing me like this? Although... It felt nice. It seemed... Romantic, in a way. Do it again." I soon began doing it back to him, and we finished the bowl with a satisfied look on our faces.

"Anyway, I'd ought to take my leave. I wouldn't want to interrupt your research..."

"Hmm? No, you'd never do that! But you can leave if you'd like." I was left on my own to complete the tasks at hand. "These solutions... If I were to combine them... I could create something so powerful that even the goddess would find hard to take responsibility for. I should keep them separate."

Once the sun was ending its shift, I swiftly made my way to Morgy's farmhouse.

"Ah, excellent timing, Morgy. I wonder if you might join me for dinner, as I have found a sensible break in my research." He pondered for a moment, then nodded gleefully. Brad would surely be surprised to see us!

"Well, well, well! If it ain't the troublesome two! Never did I think that Ford would come in here with a date!" Brad nudged Miranda, tittering.

"What a sight, eh? We'd better keep an eye on them... Just for the sake of it."

As our food was arriving, Brad began to laugh louder and with more passion.

"Okay, that is enough, you two! Please could you make comments about us elsewhere and leave us in peace."

"Hmm. Okay, okay. We'll go be third wheels somewhere else. But first... I gotta ask you one question." I sighed and nodded. "What made you pick Morgan of all people? No offence, buddy." He didn't seem to be insulted at all by this, but I was shaking.

"...I don't know." They stepped back in shock. Even Morgy seemed a little taken aback.

"W-well, there's gotta be something! I mean, was it his cheeky smile, the way he acts, his confidence-"

"Will you stop prattling on? I DON'T KNOW, alright?!" I yelled, a tad too loud. Morgan's grin was faltering, and he bolted out of the door. "Morgy, wait!" I turned around and scowled briefly at them both and dashed after my date.

"Never before did I think I'd need to run up a mountain at my age," I huffed, stepping closer toward Morgan. "I need you to understand that what I said back there was the truth. BUT, I believe I expressed it in a way that caused you to misinterpret what I had meant. Might I stand next to you?"
