TW: bullying, calling names, explosions, blood, injuries, kind of derealization I think?

(Don't worry, katsuki is not bullying Izuku.)

I put extra triggerwarning directly in front of the scenes so you can skip those scenes.

Last chapter: „but Izuku had his family by his side"

Third Person POV | at home after the doctors appointment

Izuku looked like he was in a trance. When they arrived at home, he went to his room immidiately without saying a word. His steps were slow and his eyes weren't focused on anything, his whole face not showing any emotions at all. No sadness, no frustration, nothing. Shota immidiately went after him, while Inko decided to prepare for dinner already and let Shota take care of Izuku for now, she would go to him later. So Inko stood in the kitchen, making Katsudon, her thoughts only focusing on her youngest son, and how worried she was.

Shota opened the door to Izukus room and went inside. He was worried for his little brother. He hadn't said anything at all since the docotr had told them about Izuku being Quirkless. And he was 100% sure that Izuku was devistated. It had been his dream to become a hero, to safe all those who couldn't be safed by the „heroes". So that children could grow up without having to fear that there could be a villain attacking them at any moment, or that one of their family members could accidentaly get involved with a villain attack and get seriously hurt. No one wanted to say it out loud, but that was exactly how it was. The people admired heroes for hurting and sometimes killing villains, hurting and sometimes killing innocent civillians and destroying their home, their store, their everything while doing so. Of course, someone had to stop the villains. But weren't heroes supposed to safe everyones life? And that included their houses and their pets and their job place. No place to work at = no income. No income = no money. No money = getting kicked out of your house, having to be homeless, no food etc. . And that sometimes ends in death.

And Shota had to be honest, every time he left his house, he looked at it and thought 'this could be the last time I ever see this...' because he was scared that a villain..or a „hero" would destroy it during a fight.

And that's what Izuku wanted to change. He wanted to make everyone feel safe. But all three of them knew it. Society wouldn't want a quirkless hero. They wouldn't accept a quirkless hero. So, today was the day, that Izukus dream was crushed.

And Shota wanted to be there for his brother on that day. And on any other day too.

When he looked around, he saw Izuku sitting on the bed, his back leaning against the wall behind him, his arms laying on his sides without moving, the emerald green eyes staring into the nothingness. Shota quietly knocked on the door, even though he was already inside the room, drawing Izukus attention to him. The four years old boy had turned his head to the door and looked at his older brother. For a moment, nothing happened. Shota just stood there, looking at Izuku, Izuku sat there, staring at Shota. The older boy took  a closer look at Izuku, noting the tears that were threatineing to fall out of the younger boys eyes, and the slightly trembling lip. The youngest in the family tried to hold it together. He didn't like to show his emotions, often he couldn't. But this time, he had to. His life changed.  The black haired teen walked over to his brother, sat down on the bed, and wrapped him in a tight hug, Izuku hugging back. He wanted to protect his brother from whatever was outside in this cruel world. No one is safe from reality. It gets to you sooner or later. But in that moment, the brothers were able to shut it out. It was only the two of them, holding onto eachother, both of them crying silent, hot tears. Their shirts got wet, their eyes red and puffy, but they didn't care. They were here for eachother. Would always be. Because it didn't matter what Quirk someone had. If their shirt was wet because of tears, if their eyes were read and puffy because they had been crying, if their heart was broken or not.  Looks, Quirks, abilities, if cou are good in school or not and a lot of other things don't define you. It's your personality that is, isn't it? And maybe you won't get along with that one person very well, and maybe you won't be liked by everyone, and that's okay, because SOMEONE out there in this big world will like you and accept you for who you are. Maybe you haven't met them and maybe you will only meet them in the future, but you will.
