Episode-14
FLEUR-DE-LIS SANITARIUM
Rebekah was laid on an old mattress in a run-down, abandoned hospital, looking pale and sickly as she continues to suffer from the werewolf bites she received.
Meanwhile inside, Celeste looked over the body of Nikole with a smirk, who was laying without a shirt; just a sports bra and her pants.
Her wrists were tied down by restraints. She was too weakened by Papa Tunde's blade, which had disappeared deep inside of her chest.
She groaned and began to stir.MIKAELSON COMPOUND
Elijah entered the courtyard to find Marcel sending out more troops to search the city.
"Anything?" Elijah asked impatiently.
Marcel sighed out tiredly, "They're putting eyes and ears out everywhere. Daywalkers are working every contact we've got. Cops, dock workers, guys in the Treme... Word is out: anyone trying to earn favor with me gets a lifetime of it if they find them."
"Good. I need a pen and paper." The noble Mikealson nodded his head before demanding.
He walked away. Marcel looked at his back with a narrowed eyes, not liking Elijah's tone. He scoffed out from behind, "Hey, am I taking orders from you now, or are we in this together?"
Elijah started to remove his jacket jacket as he looked at Marcel with clenched jaw, "Pen and paper, Marcellus. Now!" The Original called out in frustration.
Marcel walked closer to him as he sighed, "I want her back just as much as you do, you know... The both of them."
When Marcel left to get the supplies, Elijah begin to strip his shirt off.
He hollered out to the pregnant werewolf.Hayley rushed to the Mikealson once she heard his calls, "Elijah! You're back. Did you find any..." She suddenly cut herself off when she realised that Elijah was both shirtless and covered in tattooed names, gaping awkwardly, she finished her sentence, "...thing?" She flicked her eyes to him, utterly confused, "What is happening?"
Elijah started at Hayley in the eyes before stating, "I need you to make a list of these names."
While she waited for Marcel, she began to examine the names tattooed across Elijahs shoulders, arms, back, and abdomen.
Hayley slightly ran her fingers across his skin as she read a familiar name, "Sabine? Elijah, what is this?"
"I believe they represent the names of the women Celeste inhabited for the past two centuries." Elijah stared at the werewolf.
As the two were busy discussing about the witch, Marcel entered the room and walked towards them.
Marcel raised his hand to give the paper and pen to Hayley. He gazed at the tattoos on Elijah before he looked up at them, "It's called a Devinette. It's old school. Kind of a riddle. Witches use them to teach their kids. Solve it, and it disappears."
"Why? What's the point?" Hayley asked in confusion.
Elijah pursed his lips as his thoughts went back to his ex-lover. He looked at Hayley with a tense look, "Celeste forced me to make a choice between yourself and my siblings, and now she means to mock that choice, taunting me with a childish game. The longer the game, the more they suffer. To find Nikole and Rebekah, we need to solve this riddle. The solution lies somewhere in these names."
Hayley nodded in understanding.
She bit her lip as the feeling of guilt welled up; guilt that Elijah had to choose between his family and her.Marcel was still gazing at the names curiously before his eyes lit up in recognition, "The name next to Sabine... Annie La Fleur, she's the witch that was shunned from her coven just over a year ago. Never knew why, but I can find out."
