Hello everyone and welcome to chapter 10 of this fanfiction! After a lot of canon divergence, we are finally getting back into some canon events with minor changes. So today's chapter corresponds to the manga's chapter 9, also known as the Young Exorcist's arc part 1, I'll never stop repeating myself but this contains huge spoilers so anime watchers, do not come over here.

This chapter contains violence, blood, and graphic fights I think. Again, we love wholesomeness in this household.

This chapter is also huge like it contains more than 4k words so don't hesitate to grab a drink or something because you're in for a long ride.

Their surroundings vaporized into the air, the physical form of the apparition dissolving as well with an enraged yell of being defeated. The battle finished and the dream world shattered, they were teleported to Kamome Academy and found themselves back in the bathroom of the third floor in the old building.

The supernatural of the group let out a small sigh of relief and collapsed face-first on the ground, his body and the floor producing a loud thud at the contact. His two acolytes rushed to check on him the second their confusion died down, his name flooding out of their mouths like a river. But no matter how many times his title was shouted, he was unmoving and silent.

"Hanako-kun! Hanako-kun! Come on wake up!" The high school girl flipped the ghost's body so his back was the one to touched the floor and was met with open amber eyes.

"Hehe, you two got pranked!" His face lit up with amusement and he sat up, the two students stood still for a few seconds before bombarding the apparition with light hits to his chest which knocked the air out of it, the apparition letting out a pained gasp but the two were too preoccupied with their anger to notice it.

"Hanako you jerk, I thought you were going to disappear on us here!" The blond-haired middle schooler glared at the said apparition with anger boiling like magma inside of his blue irises, he raised his fist, prepared to deliver another blow to the supernatural's injury.

"And I thought you were seriously hurt! Why would you do a prank like that?! It's not funny at all!" The human girl squeaked out words through unshredded tears. "Stupid Hanako-kun!"

"O-okay, take it, easy guys, falling unconscious was just a joke but that injury is not make-up and it does hurt so please, stop touching it!" Thankfully for him, the duo of living beings did stop and he exhaled, his muscles relaxing. "That's better."

Kou stared at the hole in the ghost's stomach with narrowed eyes, his whole expression twisting in a guilty grimace. Hanako caught him staring and watched him without saying anything for two seconds, just to try and read his emotions.

"What is that long face for, kid? If you keep furrowing your brows like that you're going to age faster you know?" Yashiro looked at him in a way that silently told him to improve his jokes as they were getting old, no puns intended. The exorcist's expression of grief never flattered through the all thing, despite the ghost's attempt to lighten up the mood.

"Why did you take the hit for me? Aren't I technically your enemy?" The trio fell into silence after that, no one knowing what to say. The Seventh and his assistant shared a look after studying the boy's expression and Nene seems to encourage Hanako to say something.

"Even though you do intend to exorcise me, I'm not particularly mad at you for it, you're not the first and probably not the last one. You're just doing what you have to do so I can't exactly resent you for that, and as to why I save you, well that's fairly easy to answer. As the seventh of the wonders, I must assure the students' safety." At one point Hanako let himself fall backward, his eyes drifting to look at the cloudless blue sky, his right arm shielding his forehead and eyes from the harsh lighting.
