Alarix's POV.

When we neared the castle, I tugged Lila back to give us some privacy. "I need to tell you something," I whispered as she glanced at me.

She turned to me completely and raised her brow. "What's wrong?" She asked.

"When you linked me, I was with King Darius. He knows what our marks are," I replied. "He is getting someone to come to the castle. Apparently, we need to speak to them." I added.

King Darius seemed pretty certain he knew why we had the crest. He wouldn't say why or how he knew... he said was when I meet this person; I will instantly know. Why say something to me in the first place if he's not going to tell me?

King Darius loves speaking in riddles and not telling us exactly what is going on.

Her eyes widened as she gasped. "Why didn't you tell me?" She yelled in a whisper, swatting my arm.

"We needed to help Levi first... That could wait." I sighed.

"When are we meeting this mystery person?" She questioned as we continued walking.

"No idea." I sighed. "Soon, I hope."

We reached the castle as Levi peered over his shoulder, "You coming?" He asked.

"Go ahead. We'll be in soon." Lila called out before turning to face me. I smiled at Levi with a nod before looking down at Lila.

She shuffled awkwardly on her feet, avoiding eye contact with me. I chuckled, holding her face and making her look directly at me.

"You know...because we aren't dying... do you... do you..." She hesitated and took a deep breath. "Baby." She blurted.

A smile spread across my face, and I chuckled softly. "Do you still want a baby, now?" She muttered.

I brushed my thumbs along her cheeks before planting a chaste kiss on her lips. "I want what you want; however, fast you want it," I expressed.

Her eyes flashed to black before fading back to brown. I raised my brow at her as she roamed her eyes down my body. "I know your answer wasn't technically sexual, but my goddess did that sound fucking enticing." She smirked once her eyes landed back on mine.

I grinned at her, shaking my head. "Later," I winked. I pushed a loose hair behind her ear and took a deep breath. "I know we haven't known each other for long, but I feel like I've known you forever with all of your memories embedded in my mind. If you want to have a baby now, I want it too." I smiled.

She nodded her head, and a breathtaking smile spread across her face. "We'll see what happens." She murmured, wrapping her arms around my back, snuggling into my chest.

I hummed, resting my head on top of hers. "Shall we go see if the king will tell us more about the crest? Or if the person has arrived?" I asked.

She sighed, nodding her head, still pushing herself against me. "In a minute, though." She mumbled.

I nuzzled my face into her hair and pulled her as close as I could get her. "I feel so sorry for both Levi and Elias, but I am so glad we were meant for each other." She whispered.

I hooked my finger under her chin, lifting her gaze to mine. "I love you," I breathed before brushing my lips against hers gently.

She stumped in my embrace, moaning as she pressed her lips harder into the kiss. I curled my arm around her back and settled my other hand on her neck.

I swiped my tongue across her bottom lip as she groaned. She parted her lips with a little gasp as I slid my tongue into her mouth and deepened the kiss.
