Kyoka gazed out the window of the subway as the train sped by. The music from her Walkman filled her ears. In her opinion, Music was one of the best things on the planet. You could Express yourself and others. It brought people together.

Music was a part of her family. Like most, Kyoka's parents were divorced. She didn't mind, they had been for a while. Sure, she'd rather have them together, but they were happy apart.

The train came to a screeching halt as Kyoka got off. Her father lived at least 30 minutes away, so Kyoka always took the subway. Her father's house was also near the beach, so she took the time to swim and relax with him there.

---

Kyoka smiled as she ran out onto the beach. Her toes curled up into the sand and she smiled. The wind blew throughout her purple flannel shirt and black shorts. She remembered interning as a lifeguard.

Kyoka didn't usually swim, she mainly just sat and admired the view. Every day after school, she'd come here and sit. It was calming. "JIRO-SAN!" She heard an oh so familiar voice exclaim. That was the one thing that could ruin her weekend.

Denki Kaminari.

The boy ran up to her and smiled. It had been at least a week since the... boob incident. Kaminari had been trying to make friends with her ever since he joined the band. He was wearing red Hawaiian trunks, very in character.

"Hi." Kyoka mumbled. Kaminari plopped down next to her. "I didn't know you came here!" He exclaimed. "My dad lives here." She muttered. "Oh, so He came back with the milk?" The boy teased. Kyoka gave him an annoyed look.

"Uh. Mine didn't." He mumbled. Kyoka rolled her eyes. She hated hearing people's sob stories. Life was shit. You learn to deal with it. Of course, She couldn't take credit for her realization. Kaminari was the one who made her life shitty!

"Boo Hoo."

Kaminari blushed in embarrassment and buried his head in his knees. 'Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. He was an idiot.' "That yours?" His thoughts were interrupted by Kyoka pointing to his yellow vintage bullhorn bike.

"Uh. Y-Yeah." He mumbled. "Cool." She muttered. Kaminari dug his hands into the sand. 'Just ask. Just ask. Just-' "WANT A RIDE?" He screamed, startling the girl. "Where?" She questioned.

"There's a really awesome view of the sunset on this cliff." He mumbled. Kyoka looked over at the beach then back at the bike. "Fucking whatever." She muttered. He smiled and stood up. "Alright! You can get on first!" He exclaimed.

Kyoka rolled her eyes and sat on top. "Now, I'll get behind you. I do this with my little cousin's all the time, so you shouldn't be worried." He chuckled. He slipped behind her onto the little seat space she had left him.

"Don't make this weird." She grumbled, looking into his golden orbs. As She did, it occurred to Kyoka. She'd never really looked into his eyes without a negative emotion. Before, it was fear or sadness, recently, it was anger or disgust.

Fly me to the moon
And let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars

Noticing She was looking at him, Kaminari smiled brightly. Kyoka blushed and looked down. She wrapped her hands around his as he began pedaling.

In other words, hold my hand
In other words, darling, kiss me

As the wind blew throughout the duo's hair, Kaminari could see Kyoka's blue eyes without her bangs covering them. They were gloomy and looked like the sea after a storm.

Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore

The same could be said for Kyoka. As the wind blew through Kaminari's hair, she was able to take in his features. He had soft golden eyes that resembled the sun on a cloudy day. He had cute freckles scattered across his cheeks and nose.

In other words, please, be true
In other words, I love you

They looked like stars.

Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore

Kaminari looked over to see the girl smiling warmly. His heart felt warm. He gulped and looked back at the road.

In other words, please, be true
In other words, I love you
Well, in other words,

I love you

"Well, Here we are." He chuckled, stopping the bike. Kyoka let go of his hands and hopped off. The view was definitely worth it.

They were atop a cliff and the sun was right in front of them. The cloud was painted with pastels of red and orange. A wonderful combination. There was a little pink in the middle, but Kyoka ignored it. Orange and red stood out more.

"Worth it?" Kaminari questioned, walking up to Kyoka. "Totally." She laughed. Kaminari gulped. His face burned red as he tugged at his hair. "Do you..." He stopped mid-sentence. Kyoka looked over at him, confused.

"Why don't you hate me?" He questioned, keeping his eyes closed and balling up his fists. He made sure to not breathe. Kyoka didn't respond. Kaminari gasped for breath and looked back up at her.

She was staring at him. "Please, Say something." He begged, his voice trembling. "What do you want me to say?" She whispered.

"I don't know." He sobbed, wiping the tears streaming from his eyes. "I abused you. I hit you. I teased you. I ran everyone away from you. I hate myself." He mumbled. "Stop it." She muttered, looking him straight in the eye.

"W-What?" He questioned. "You're blaming it on yourself. You're playing the victim." She hissed. Kaminari backed up in fear. "You're saying that you hate yourself as an excuse for bullying me! It's not gonna work!" She screamed.

"No, Kyoka, I'm sorry! I just-" "JUST NOTHING. SHUT UP! ALL YOU'VE EVER DONE IS HURT ME!" She screamed. "I'll walk home by myself." She whispered. Kaminari sobbed and fell to his knees.

He fucked up.
