Kaminari stood in the shower, the cold water running down his body and hair.

He wished he could go back.

He wished he could apologize.

He wished for a lot of things, but nothing changed. The only thing He could truly change was his future. But even that made him nervous. The future was uncertain.

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair. "Den-Chan!" His mother called out. He turned off the faucet and stepped out. As He looked into the mirror, he noticed how skinny he'd gotten. The only thing He had gained was height. He was basically a stick.

He remembered how he used to play all sorts of sports. He was 'Kaminari the social butterfly'. 'The bundle of energy'. His smile could 'light up a room'. Now He could barely even talk to people, let alone smile.

He pulled his clothes back on and trudged downstairs. "That was a long shower." His mother mumbled pouring rice into a dish. "Mm." He grumbled, sitting down.

As the silence returned, Kaminari stared out the window. His neighborhood was pretty generic, so it had an average view. He could see a couple kids playing ball.

He managed a small huff of a laugh. They looked happy. They were naive. His mother set a small bowl of rice down. "I'm going to hang out with some friends. Finish your rice and don't stay up too late." She instructed, clipping earrings on.

"Sure." He sighed. "I love you, Denki." She muttered, walking out. Those words felt strange. 'I love you.' Did they really mean it? What was love anyway? An emotion? A behavior?

How could you tell if you truly loved someone? Did humanity even deserve love? Kaminari didn't. At least, that's what he thought.

He stared down at his rice and began stirring it around.

"Fuck it…"

Sweat dripped from Bakugou's brow as He slammed his sticks against his drum set. As He finished off, he let out a sigh. He looked around the empty studio. Everyone had gone home.

He sighed and shoved his sticks in his pocket. As He locked the studio up, the sun began to set. His expression softened as he stared at the sky. That was what he loved about sunsets. You never knew what color it may be. Tonight it was a mixture of blue and pink. He sighed and began to walk home.

As He turned the corner into his neighborhood, someone walked out of the house in front of him. "Bye, Babe!" He heard a voice exclaim. That voice was familiar. Way too familiar. He had grown up with that voice.

He loved that voice.

As the redhead emerged from the house, Bakugou's heart raced. 'Who the fuck did he just call babe?' Bakugou stumbled backwards in shock. "Eijiro! Wait!"

A girl with unruly pink hair ran out of the house. "Yeah?" Kiri questioned, turning back around. The girl grabbed his head and placed a soft kiss on his lips.

~~ "C'mon Kat!" Kirishima laughed as the duo began running along the creekside. "I'm coming, jeez." Bakugou grumbled, jumping from rock to rock. He watched as black haired boy in front of him laughed and splashed through the water. He managed a small smile. "Did ya hear about the festival at the end of school!" The boy questioned, excitement in his red eyes. "Yeah. Sounds boring." Bakugou grumbled. "They do it every year! I'm sure it'll be awesome!" He laughed. Bakugou rolled his eyes playfully. The two boys continued talking and playing. As Bakugou attempted to catch up to Kirishima, he felt himself slip. His back slammed against the stone, but it wasn't over yet. "EIJIRO!" He screamed, water gurgling inside his throat. "Kat?" Kirishima questioned, turning around. He looked to see Bakugou lodged between two rocks, beginning to drown. "KATSUKI!" He cried, running over to him. He grabbed his hand and attempted to pull him out. But He was no match for the tide. He sobbed as he pulled at the boy's arm. Finally, He pulled him out from the rocks and onto the dry sand. He panted and collapsed next to the ashy blonde. "Eijiro…" Bakugou muttered, looking over at the noirette. Kirishima laughed softly and smiled. He pulled the boy into a hug, although both of them were freezing. "That was close." The boy giggled. Bakugou coughed up some water and sighed. "Yep." As the two walked home, Kirishima looked over at Bakugou. "Were you scared?" He whispered.  "No. I don't get scared." The boy scoffed. "Really?!" Kirishima questioned, looking up at the boy with stars in his eyes. "Yeah! Obviously!" He shouted. "Then why'd you scream my name?" Kirishima laughed. "I didn't want to die, Duh! But that doesn't mean I was scared." The boy scoffed. "Ah, it's alright, Kat. I was really scared too." Kirishima laughed as they walked up the driveway. Bakugou scoffed and proceeded to give the noirette a noogie. "I'll admit, I was a little freaked out." He grumbled as the two walked inside. Kirishima laughed and hugged him.
"It's okay, Bro! You're still the bravest person I know!"~~

Bakugou watched in shock as their lips parted. No. No. No. He refused to believe it. This was some stupid dream. He would wake up and start another horrible day, but Kiri would make it better.

Kirishima would make it better by just being there. He was more than enough. He made Bakugou's heart soft, and he'd taken advantage of it. He ripped it apart.

"You're the bravest person I know!"

"Best friends forever, right?"

"See you tomorrow!"

Kirishima gave him hope for tomorrow. The redhead's laughter rang in his head. "Alright! See you tomorrow!" The boy laughed. As the redhead turned to go, he locked eyes with Bakugou.
