It seemed to be a regular day in The Syndicate Household, Techno and Niki were sparring whilst Ranboo and Philza watched, chatting about nothing in particular. However today was different

Niki had visited Jack earlier that day, normally that wouldn't be a problem however when she saw alcohol bottles scattered all across the floor in The Hotel but no Jack she became extremely overwhelmed. She ran back to The Syndicate's base and tried her best to pull herself together but... Techno walked in and asked if she wanted to spar and that's how she ended up in this situation.

However the gravity of this had just hit her... her best friend is an alcoholic

There's no way he's actually an alcoholic right? I mean sure I do my fair share of drinking but I mean nothing like... that. Why didn't I check on him sooner!? Ugh I'm such an idiot!

Techno dropped his sword and looked at Niki in a concerned manner. "Hey Niki! You good?"

"Yeah I'm okay can we just um stop sparring for the day?". Niki hid her face and ran inside her house

Philza walked towards Techno having noticed Niki's absence."What happened mate? Why'd she leave?"

"I dunno man she just looked upset so I just asked if she was alright then she said she was fine and ran to her house" He said half in confusion and half in concern

Ranboo stumbled towards them "Should we check on her orrr?"

Techno and Phil stared at Ranboo "What? what'd I say?" Ranboo was confused

"Why don't you go check on 'er Ranboo?"

Ranboo looked like a dear in headlights "uh it's not like I don't want to check on her... I just dunno if she'll um appreciate it or open up about whatever it is that's bothering her"

"Fine I'll do it then" Said Techno

"No no no we'll uh see if Jack can talk to her cause no offense Techno we just um... emotions aren't your uh strong suit" stuttered Ranboo

"Let's cut the bs already we outta-"
Techo stopped talking when he saw a familiar figure...

It was jack

Jack slowly and sloppily walked up to them "Hey have you guys seen Niki anywhere?"

The three took a good look at Jack, he was clearly very drunk and not in the right mindset to be walking around talking to people especially Niki as she was already upset. Phil being the oldest and most experienced spoke up first.

"Ay you alright there mate? You look a bit uh tipsy"
Phil said softly but sternly

"No no no I'm all good I just 'ad a few drinks"
slurred Jack

"Right, well no we haven't seen her today sorry mate!"

Meanwhile Niki was having an anxiety attack

Okay okay everything will be okay! Everything is fine I just need to breathe!

Niki looked out the window and to her surprise she saw Jack
"what is- what is he doing here?"

Niki was having trouble breathing and she started to feel something heavy on her chest. She tried her best to calm down but this was too much. She laid down on her bed and grasped her chest.

Phil sensed distress and quickly ran in Niki's house. Ranboo and Techno sheepishly followed.

"Niki! Are you okay?!" Phil shouted in concern

"I don't- You should leave! All of you!"
Niki was very upset and even though she didn't mean it she said it out of pure anxiety and manicy

Niki stood up still grasping her chest and shouted even louder "Get out!" she picked up a book that was on her desk and threw it towards them but she accidentally hit ranboo in the face with it.

"Niki?... why did you- why?" Ranboo mumbled completely hurt by what niki did. There were tears forming in the teenagers face

Techno and Phil looked at Niki and the regret and shame she felt. She looked at Ranboo and then looked at Phil and Techno...

"I- I'm sorry" she quickly ran past them, she didn't know where she was going but she needed to leave the Syndicate Compound immediately.

After hours of running she found her way to a seemgly secluded clif. The sound of owls cooing and insects chirping calmed her but she still felt imense gult. The image of Ranbo in tears popped into her head everytime she closed her eyes. She sat down near the edge of the cliff and laid a lantern down for light.

The solitude made her feel better, but she started to smell something familiar. It was the smoke of a cigarette. Confused and anxious she looked behind her and saw Quackity...
