"Gianna Ramirez, you're a long way from home" My name rolls from a familiar mans tongue catching everyone attention. My eyes widen and I unlink my arm form Mateo as I pull the man into a hug, his arms wrap around waist locking on my lower back.

"Finally you got away from that hell hole ." he explains taking a sip of his whiskey, i return to my potion in Mateos arm but his body tenses as he looks at the man in front of us.

"I know, I was willing to finally take you up on the offer of running away together." I chuckle yet the stare that Noah gets from Mateo causes the air to grow thick with tension and a strange feeling to rack through my body.

"Oh Mat this is Noah, Noah this is Mateo." I introduce them and Mat just give him a curt head nod and I chuckle.

"Damn you're running with Romanos now." Noah laughs and I roll my eye . "To be fair anyone is better than carl Ramirez. How Preston?" he asks and my body stills at the mention of his name.

"You know I was thinking earlier how we met, do you remember?" he asks and I laugh nodding my head.

"How could I forget, You bet against me at Poker." I laugh turning to Mateo and Enzo, "Your not the first men to underestimate me."

"Underestimating Gianna was the worst thing I ever did, cost me thirty grand." Noah concludes as we stand int he middle fo the casino. Mateos Rolls his eyes as I continue talking to Noah yet I simply squeeze his hand and he wraps his arm around my waist.

"You seem happy Gia." Noah tilts his head as he looks me up and down, "it suits you." he says and I frown.

"What suits me?" I ask and once again he takes a sip of his whiskey.

"Confidence." with that he nods his head to a man behind and quickly dismisses himself and I smile.

"ok, I told you not to make him jealous. if you were going to do it that would have been how." Enzo adds and I huff turning to Mat.

"Are you joking? Noah!  He was the only person to ever talk to me back in Washington." I huff sipping my champagne.  "I thought I was younger than you, grow up." I spin on my heels walking away as I make my way to the restroom.

"trouble in paradise." A voice chuckles from behind me and I shiver as I realise who it is. My body turns mechanically towards the bar as I slide on the stool beside him.

"what do I owe the pleasure this time father?" I ask and he sips his whiskey and turns to look at me.

"Your pathetic."

"And you're a prejudice pig, I guess it's a day for insults." I chuckle turning to the bar tender. "Gin and tonic please, make it a double shot." I ask and a raised eyebrow comes my way and I just brush it off as I turn back to my father.

I cross my legs as my dress floats around the chair, "You know I raised you right." he leans his elbows against the bar, the slur in his words makes me under the impression this sent his first whiskey, nor will it be his last.
