Lightbulb's POV:

Paintbrush. What a fancy name!

That was the only thing I've thinking for the rest of the day. Their warm smile too. So adorable!

I wonder if they would return tomorrow...

I dig for my wallet in my backpack full of books. I recount every dollar and, phew, there's still plenty. I've been relying on my dad's savings after he... well... And I know I don't have to go find myself a job just yet. I enter the small yet homey supermarket near my apartment to buy stuff for dinner.

I picked up a big bag of Cheetos and another bag of Doritos for snacking. Which one should I choose? They're both delicious! Ack, I always get indecisive when it comes to food! "Cheetos... Doritos... Cheetos... Doritos..."-I mumbled

I wonder which snack would Paintbrush buy...?
!

I jumped a bit, surprised that I'm thinking about them instead of food. I regained myself and put both bags into the cart. Yeah, both is good.

I return to my apartment and by then, it's already 7 pm. I unlock the door and took in the smell of ragged carpets and cereals. Yup, this is where I live. I did a lil stretch and took a nice shower. While having random shower thoughts, something came into my mind.

I wonder what's Paintbrush doing right now...
!

Does thinking about Paintbrush counts as a shower thought?

After that shower, I don my apron that says "Kiss the lightbulb" and prepare the pots for cooking. I begin to knock on them like drums, it's really fun! I don't get why they don't get recognized as an instrument like mayonnaise? I whiff up a fancy pot of chicken soup which I used to eat with my dad and take a sip. Dee-licious!

I wonder if Paintbrush like chicken soup...
!

Maybe they do, who doesn't like chicken soup?

After my dinner is done, I lie on my bed, pulled out my phone and play around with it. Homework can wait later. The hair bun on my head undoes itself and my hair turns long and silky. I flip through social medias like Mebook, Meepblr and Mestagram, then check my Memail account. Not like someone would send me a message, I'm just kinda bored.

I wonder if Paintbrush uses social media too...
!

Maybe doing some homework will cut this. Why do I think about Paintbrush so much?! I mean... they look tall and good looking, their yellow hair is so shiny, and their earthy brown eyes...
Ok I should really get this together.

I tried to focus on the papers in front of me and tapped my pencil impatiently. This equation is harder than I thought, and to me and my brain, they're just jumbled symbols and letters. Ugh! Why does math has to be so damn hard?! I groan in frustration and lie on the table.

I wonder if Paintbrush knows how to solve this...
!

I move my homework aside and check the time. 11 pm. Still early. I walk to my small dresser nearby and see a picture of younger me with my dad. Good times. I sure miss him and my mom. But I have to keep smiling and move on. Dad told me so.

I wonder if dad would like to meet Paintbrush too...

(Time skip until morning)

Paintbrush's POV:

I brush my hair neatly and slick it backwards. There we go. I check the time on my phone. I promised Lightbulb I would come when I'm done with my job. I put my phone in my pocket, tighten my yellow tie, grab my notebook and leave my hotel room. To be honest, the place I'm living in is more like a fancy apartment, but my landlord insists that it's a hotel. Whatever makes him happy I guess.

I get to the front yard to catch the bus. The "hotel" is settled near the mountains just in the back of the Object Capital. It's safe for me here, plus the air is fresh since there's a big forest behind the parking lots too. I boarded the bus to Goiky Streets, which will take about 20 minutes or so. I sat on a seat in the back to avoid people, took off my phone and checked the messages.

I promised Lightbulb I'd be seeing her after my work shift. When I finally arrived at Yoyleland Cafe, where I worked, I settled my phone in my pocket. I don the cafe's apron uniform and begin my work.

Preparing drinks, selling Yoyleberry muffins, serving dishes, just the usual. Maybe I should take Lightbulb here when I'm done with today. I was reading the order behind the counter when suddenly Gelatin poked me.

"Hey Paintbrush! Mind helping me carry these to that outdoor table? They ordered a heck ton of Yoylecakes!"

"First, don't poke me like that, I don't like people poking me. Second, the one with the dogs with them right?"

"That's the one!"

I carry one tray with plenty of coffee cups while Gelatin carries two trays with Yoylecakes. The dogs at the table saw me and began barking at me.

"Ack!"-I yelped a bit.

"Seriously tho."-Gelatin looked at me-"Paintbrush, what did you do to get dogs barking at you every time the customers bring their dogs?"

"... don't know, don't care."-I rolled my eyes. None of his business.

Back at the counter, I checked the time again. Just hope Lightbulb doesn't get in trouble before I'm done with my morning shift. Probably gonna change into an afternoon shift after this.

(Meanwhile, at Inanimate College)

Lightbulb's POV:

They're not here yet huh. What a hardworking guy! Or girl. Still dunno their gender. I spin around in my tropical yellow dress for a bit. This is my favorite dress since my dad made it for me! Hopefully Paintbrush like it too! When I entered the classroom, I see Bubble has already paired up with Fanny today. Not surprised or disappointed of course!

I sat at a seat near the windows, pulled out my books and my phone. I tap my feet nervously, waiting for Paintbrush to come. This is gonna a long morning for sure.

After a few classes, I am starting to get bored. I can't really focus at all and I haven't even taken my notes. Just when I was gonna get a shut-eye, I see a tall and familiar figure with bright yellow hair, dashing through the school ground. They enters the class shortly later and pants slightly, holding their notebook. I smile with relief and excitement, finally getting to hang out with them.

"Hey Lightbulb."-They greeted

"Heya Painty!"-I beamed up, the word Painty slipped out of my tongue sounds so natural

"Five minutes in and you already gave me a nickname huh?"-They laughed a bit.
