Narrator's POV:

"Flowers?"
"Check."
"Honey biscuits?"
"Check."
"Comfort food?"
"...'"
"Painty?"
"...check."

Lightbulb and Paintbrush revised their list of items, with Lightbulb reading the list out loud while Paintbrush making sure that all items has been prepared.

"Aye, that's all of them alright!"-Lightbulb clapped while closing the bindle stuff full of stuff they needed

"Yeah, let's go now."-Paintbrush nodded

The two of them get out of Paintbrush's apartment and walk down the stairs. They come across one of Paintbrush's landlords whose name is Paper. He happily greet them with a smile.

"Hi Paintbrush! Hi Lightbulb! What are you two doing on this fine day?"

"Hiya Paper pal! We're just visiting a special person!"-Lightbulb smiled back

"It's nothing really."-Paintbrush, holding the bindle of stuff on their back, patted Lightbulb's head-"What about you and OJ?"

"It's same old stuff, really."-Paper chuckled-"Well, I don't wanna keep you two waiting, have fun!"

Paintbrush and Lightbulb say goodbye to Paper and the two head to the parking lot behind the hotel. Paintbrush pulls out their bike while Lightbulb puts the bindle into the bike's basket.

"Alright, hop on."-Paintbrush gestured towards the seat behind them-"Slowly tho, last time you hopped on it, me and the bike nearly fell over."

"Oh cmon Painty, it was one time!"-Lightbulb playfully smiled as she got on the seat-"Plus, I won't do that, there's plenty of cool stuff in that bindle, I can't do that now can I?"

"Whatever you say."-They shrugged

Paintbrush's POV:

Lightbulb clings to my jacket as I pedaled out of the parking lot and outside the hotel's entrance, where OJ and Paper waved at us.

It's been a few months after that winter night, when I told her the truth about myself. Can't believe it's May already, our first year is coming to a close. Lightbulb and I spend a lot of time together, hang out at my place, go to the cafe or shopping malls. It's surprised me how even though I told her my biggest secret, Lightbulb still accepted me as her friend, despite others would see me as a beast. And her friendship makes me really happy.

But I still need to help her find a future and find my own as well. Given Lightbulb's personality, maybe I should take it slow and have some fun for now.

"Hey Lightbulb, here comes the slope!"-I called out

"Yaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!"-Lightbulb cheered as we rode down the slightly steep slope. The gentle wind blows in our hair, exciting the both of us.

Lately, Lightbulb has been spending plenty amount of time in my hotel room. We have dinners, sleepovers and movie nights and she has become a lot more clingy with me. A bit dumb, childish and energetic sure, but I love her friendliness and optimism. That's why I trusted her with my secret.

And I've got to thank the man who taught her that.

We ride the bike away from the mountains and into a large field near the city. There's a big gate made out of stone and marble. I slow down a bit and noticed how quiet Lightbulb is starting to get. Her childlike giggles toned down and became silent.

"You good behind there LB?"-I asked her plainly with a slight hint of concern

"Aww shucks, it's fine Painterino!"-Lightbulb stiffed out a small laugh-"Hurry, we're almost there!"
