Dakota Delaune

I looked at Angelo completely speechless. He was drinking champagne like it's water. He even asked me to give him more.

He's drunk.

He got up and sat on the sofa. He's start laughing and I looked at him completely confused. He's acting like a maniac. I brought him into my room and he was so heavy that I struggled to lift him up.

"Angelo.. Oh my god! Stand still!" I was really struggling to bring him to my bed.

"You're being ridiculous!" I hissed and he suddenly stood by himself.

"You know.. it's funny.. so funny that you decided to move in with a man." He turned to me and I raised my eyebrows.

"And?" I asked.

"There's no such things as roommates between a man and a woman." He said as he towered me with his height. He wrapped his arms around my waist slowly laying on the bed.

"You're worried?" I asked and he chuckled.

"Worried?" He asked as he kept looking down on my lips.

"Angelo." I said as I put my hand on his cheek.

"Hmm?"

"I miss you.. a lot." We both looked at each other and I slowly pulled him closer to me. I kissed his lips slowly and I was going to kiss him more when he pulled back and got off the bed.

"Don't tempt me.." He warned and I raised my hands. He walked out from the room and I quickly followed him. He's drunk and what the hell is he doing?

He walked out from my apartment as he phone rang. He picked it up as he walked towards the lift.

"I'm outside.. Don't even.. don't even bring it up." He raised his voice and I stopped.

"I'm not with Dakota! You need to stop following me!" I hid myself to listen more to his conversation since he brought my name up.

"Fuck him! For once.. just for once, I want to happy."

"It's been 10 years, Chance. It's been 10 years.. I can't let her go yet.." My heart crunched.

"I'm outside.. you don't need to pick me up." Suddenly I heard a lot thump. I quickly ran towards him and he was already on the floor. I turned to his phone and pressed the red button.

"What are you doing?" I looked at him and he sighed. I helped him getting up and picked his phone in the process.

I saw his phone record and it's Chance. Whoever this Chance guy is, he knew a lot about Angelo.

"Dakota."

"Hmm?"

"I'm tired." He stopped walking with me.

"You need some sleep, you're so drunk." I said and he took his phone from my hand. I dragged him back to my apartment and laid him on my bed. I took off his shoes and walked out to bring him some water.

"I'm tired living this life." I heard him as I walked back to my room.

"What makes you tired? You know you can tell me everything." I said as I put the water on the table beside my bed.

"I've been running throughout my life.. I got no rest." He said and I was shocked to see him tearing up.

"How about you take a rest this time?" I asked in a whisper tone.

"Seeing you again helped." And again.. my heart crunched. I never knew he felt like this.

"Then why don't you come to me?"

"Seeing you from afar is enough for me. It's always been enough." He passed out right after that. I grabbed his phone from his hand and dialed Chance's number. I walked out from the room and closed the door behind me.

"Just tell me where the hell are you?" Chance said as soon as he picked up.

"I'm Dakota and he's drunk in my apartment."

"I knew it." Chance laughed.

"I will send my men there."

"I want to meet you." I said.

"What?"

"I don't know what kind of organization that he's in but I want to meet you. I want you to let him go." I said even though I'm scared.

"I don't think you.. want to know."

"Why is that?"

"Because we kill people for a living. The man that is drunk on your bed is not as innocent as you think he us." I was shaking and I sat down on the sofa.

"I have my men already at your door." Suddenly there's a knock on the door.

"I didn't even tell you my address yet!" I was scared.

"Dakota Delaune, we kill people for a living. We know people's address easily. Listen to me.. I want you to open the door and let my men take Angelo out of there."

"No! You're going to kill him!" I was so scared that I quickly took a gun out of the kitchen cabinet.

"Why would I kill him? That's ridiculous."

"No! I know you would kill him!" I said and he laughed.

"I know you would kill him!" I screamed completely scared. I walked slowly to the door when the door behind me bursted open.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Angelo looked at me. He grabbed the gun from my hand and then his phone. He ended the call and I turned to him.

"There's someone behind that door, they're here to kill you.."

"You just made a big mistake, Dakota." He sighed.

"Angelo! They're dangerous!" I looked at him completely going nuts. He walked to the door and I stopped him.

"No! Please don't go! They're going to kill you!" I pulled him away from the door. He opened the door revealing 4 men in suits.

"Mr. Vander." They all greeted him.

"Please.. please.." I was begging as I closed the door again. Angelo turned to me and I was already crying.

"What are you doing, Dakota?"

"They're going to take you away and they're going to kill you. Chance told me that you kill people for a living, is that true? I think they will kill you.." I said as I pulled him away from the door.

"Dakota, you're being ridiculous."

"If you die, I will never forgive myself and I will die too.. eventually.."

"Dakota, that's ridiculous! Let me go!"

"Please.." I cried and Angelo sighed.

"I'm not going to die, you need to trust me."

"No.." I grabbed him tighter than before.

"Chance was lying.."

"No, please.."

"Mr.Vander." The person outside called him.

"Dakota, let me go.."

"I'll go with you then.." I said.

"That bastard."

"Chance was fooling around!"

"Don't fool me!" I hissed and Angelo opened the door.

"You guys can go home." Angelo said and they all left.

"How can they kill me when I'm the boss?" He said as he closed the door.

"I don't buy that."

"What did Chance tell you?" Angelo asked as he walked in and sat on the sofa.

"He told me that you kill people for a living, I'm not believing that stupid.. statement!"

"Why? He's telling the truth though?"
