Angelo Vander
"Thankyou, Mr. De Luca. We're really thrilled to work with you." I smiled and shook his hand one more time before leaving.
"Mr. De Luca, do you want me to order you lunch?" My secretary asked and I turned to her.
"I want to drive around, just get my car ready. I want a flight back to Italy tonight." I said to her and she nodded. I waited at the lobby for my car and got into it.
I drove to the London's headquarters and when I stopped at the red light, I saw a restaurant that me and the boys used to eat. I immediately made a U turn and decided to go there.
I got out from the car and decided to eat there.
Old memories started to come to me and I missed that time. I missed the time where we all used to hangout and just.. be together.
Suddenly I heard a loud crash outside and I turned to see my car got crashed. I quickly went outside and found a red ferrari behind my car.
"Oops.. sorry?" I turned to see Adrian and I rolled my eyes.
"Fucking childish.." I hissed.
"I guess I have to pay for the damage or.. maybe buy you a new car." He said and I shook my head.
"Go, I'm not in the mood to deal with you."
"Hi, Angelo." Great, he brought his wife.
"Your Highness, are you okay?" His guards checked on him and his wife.
"I was right, it's your car. No one will eat here with that car unless it's one of us."
"You're not one of us anymore, Nielsen." I hissed coldly.
"Adrian, I'll go first. Your mother is already waiting for me, will that be okay?" Leah walked over to him and Adrian nodded. He gave her a kiss on the top of her head and sent her off.
I walked into the restaurant to continue my meal and suddenly Adrian joined me. He ordered the same thing.
"I'm sad that none of you appeared on my wedding." He said.
"There's a chaos on the system." I said and Adrian nodded.
"So.. I heard that you let Dakota go." I glared at him and he sighed.
"I thought you will leave too." I put my spoon down.
"Don't be selfish, Adrian. I put my heart aside for it, not like you!"
"Angelo, if you think my decision to leave is the easiest thing in the world, you're wrong! You know how much it means a lot to me too! It means a lot.." Adrian sighed.
"But in the end.. you still choose to leave."
"Do you know why I chose to leave?" He asked and I looked up to him.
"We're all broken, Angelo. We're all broken people. We do have the brains, the skills and the power but we're all broken inside."
"No one is stronger than others here, we are all broken people who keeps denying that we're not."
"It's not going anywhere, Vander. In the end of the day, it's not a company or a title.. it's us." He has a point.
"We all want to be happy, we already ran so hard throughout our lives and we need to grow. We can't live just the 5 of us until we die, we all need someone. We need to grow as individuals despite sticking to each other." Adrian said and I shook my head.
"But you know what we went through.."
"Angelo, it's life. People come and go. There will always a life at stake or at risk but we will do all it takes to protect them."
"It's been 4 months since Phoenix got married and he's doing okay. He's doing so great and seeing that.. why can't I do the same? For me, leaving now is just temporary, we will still out there watching them just like what they did to us."
"You're convincing me to leave huh?"
"Angelo, I want you to be happy."
"It will fall apart, once I leave.. Chance will leave too." I said and Adrian shook his head.
"Do you think I will let it happen? Do you think Phoenix will let it happen too? We're not going to let it happen, Angelo. It will be hard at first but trust me.. everything will be okay in the end."
"Easy for you to say, Nielsen." I hissed and he shook his head.
"How about this.. you go to Dakota and surrender.. everything will falls into place sooner or later." Adrian said and he got up. He told the waiter to take away his food.
"I'll send you a new car.." He said and he grabbed the food from the waiter.
"See you around, Vander."
Adrian Nielsen
"Do you think he will leave ILLICIT soon?" Phoenix asked through the phone.
"Maybe, he's not stable."
"I bet Dean said something preventing him to go." Phoenix hissed.
"I don't think so.. he seems struggling with himself."
"I found Dakota already."
"Where is she?" I asked as I sat down.
"She's still in Italy actually, she's in Lake Como."
"That's unpredictable. I thought she will go abroad." I turned to see Leah entering the room. I gestured her to sit beside me and put Phoenix on loudspeaker.
"It seems she's struggling too. We don't know exactly what happened between them but she knew about ILLICIT already. It seems Dean told her about what happened 10 years ago."
"10 years ago.. that will be tough."
"When will you come to Paris?" Suddenly he asked.
"Lana keeps asking about Leah. She told me that she regretted not asking for her phone number." I turned to Leah and she chuckled.
"We'll go there next week.." Leah said and I smiled to her.
"You heard her."
"Great, I'll let Lana know."
"About Angelo, should we help?" I asked.
"No, let him figure it out himself. You know Angelo, he sometimes don't listen to people."
"Right."
"See you next week, Nielsens!"
"Say hi to Lana for me." Leah said.
"Will do, Leah."
"Bye."
