Angelo Vander
"I'm asking myself if I should be happy that I have a friend who is a doctor or.. I should be pissed." I said as I got out from the check up room. Dean chuckled hearing me and he then pointed his pen towards me.
"You should be grateful that I'm watching over your health." He said then he proceed to continue writing on my data.
"I work out almost everday, work almost everyday, I don't eat shit so.. I will be fine." I said as I put my blazer on.
"Go and call that shit head here." Dean said gesturing me to go out. I walked out and found Adrian sitting on the sofa with her phone.
"The devil awaits you." I said to Adrian and he looked up to me. He smirked and got up from the sofa. He patted my shoulder then got into the room. I walked out and my phone rang.
It's an unknown number.
Instead of rejecting it like I used to, I picked it up. "Hello."
"Angelo, it's me.. Dakota." My breath got hitch and I walked towards my car.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"I have a proposition for you, can I schedule a meeting with you?" I got into the car and looked at my steering wheel sighing.
"Are you free now?"
"Yes."
"Meet me at Vous restaurant in 30 minutes." I said and ended the call. I put my phone on the passenger seat and I took a moment to process myself.
"Why did I decide to get myself involve with her again? Why?" I asked myself and I leaned back to my seat completely lost. I'm such an idiot and I can't believe that the history repeats itself but this time.. I was the one who started it.
I got myself together and started my car. I drove out from the headquarter and drove towards Vous. When I got there, I gave my car key to the valet chauffer. I walked into the restaurant and got a table at the corner of the restaurant. I looked out the window and the sky was slowly getting dark.
"Angelo." I turned my head to see Dakota smiling at me. I was taken back by her smile and I could hear my heart beating fast. I gestured her to sit down and I turned to the window again.
"It's going to rain soon." She said and I didn't answer her. I can feel my heart hurting knowing that there's only the two of us having lunch together. I grabbed the menu in front of me looking at it to order.
Unconsciously my mind was scanning the food that she will like and the food that she won't like. I wish I have Dean here to punch me so hard just to get my sense back.
"I'll get the lasagna." She said to the waiter.
"I'll get the truffle spaghetti." I closed the menu book and gave it to the waiter.
"Anything to drink?"
"Water." We both said it at the same time and then we looked at each other for a split second before I looked out the window again.
"I have a proposition for you." She said and I was waiting for her to continue. "Angelo." I could my whole body froze when she called my name.
"I'm listening."
"I want you to give me about 20 percent share of Franco's company." I turned to her and raised my eyebrows.
"We're going to get married anyway and might as well helping him on getting it back." Typical Dakota, too nice to begin with. I bet Franco talked the shit out of her for this.
"I want to offer about 12 million euros for 20 percent."
"You buying it won't solve the company problems, you know that right?" I asked in a really cold tone.
"I don't think we want to be involve with you after we making it official so I want to buy it from you slowly." She said she took out a contract from her bag. I scoffed disbelief, she even prepared a contract already.
"I'm not going to sell it to you. I already bought it and why didn't you take care of him before I got involve?"
"I was in America, Angelo." I know. "I don't have any intention to comeback and get married to him. My father never really like involving money with his friend because he know one day it would be a disaster."
"It's too late, I'm already taking over." I said looking at her arrogantly.
"Angelo, please.."
"Beg me all you want, I'll never give it to you. I think Silware has a long way to go and your dumbass fiance won't be able to keep it up." I mocked Franco and Dakota nodded. We both turned silent for a moment.
"You should just let it fall." She said all of the sudden. I raised my eyebrows when she said that.
"You hate him, why don't you see him go down instead of taking it over?" She emphasized the word hate.
"I'm not like him, Dakota. I don't make my revenge by seeing him fall, that won't be fun." I smirked and Dakota sighed.
"Have you even wondered where I was all this time?" In America, in LA and Seattle to be exact.
"Why should I?" I said and she nodded.
"That's true, it's always been me who's obsessed with you. I was the one who supposed to know about your whereabouts." She chuckled sarcasticly.
"We're not in highschool anymore, Dakota. You need to grow up.." I said and Dakota looked straight into my eyes. She turned her attention to the window.
"Very well, if you don't let me buy the shares.. I'll go work for Silware instead." She said as she wiped her hands with wet tissue on the table.
"If you really want to then go for it but you won't be able to buy the shares from me." I said it straight to her face and she sighed.
"Well.. If I don't get the shares, at least.. I'll able to see you." She suddenly smirked.
