Meet Virgil Axel a 17 year old who hasn't spoken a word since the age of 6. Patton Forest has been his best friend since they were four and the only one to hear his voice other than family. Patton is trying to peice together on what happened to make his friend go silent so he decided to get him in a speech therapy group. There would be a total of 5 people per group, an assistant and the speech therapist. Patton wasn't sure if Virgil even knew how to speek considering he was 6 and has never utterd a single word.

-Patt please I don't want to go!- Virgil was getting anxious at just the thought of going. He doesn't like being with people like at all.
"It'll be alright kiddo. I have asked to stay in the room and they aloud it so you'll be jsut fine." Patton was trying to reasure Virgl that nothing will happen and this is to help him but Virgil's mind is telling him other wise.

(I don't think you can actually do that oh well)

After at least 20 minutes of Virgil protesting on not going patton had finally convinsed him and they were in the car driving towards the place. Patton would have to explain why they were late once they got to the meeting. But that was okay it was quite likely that some have not shown up, or been late, because of fear of meeting people but it would be nice to meet people who are like you.

Around 15 minutes later they had arrived and told the person at the desk what they are doing their. The person had led them to a room and surprisingly everyone but Virgil had arrived. This only made Virgil more anxious and Patton could tell so he grabbed his hand hiding it behind the two in order to not embarras Virgil.
"It'll be okay kiddo" Patton whispered. Virgil and Patton sad down on the only two chairs left where the gardians/friends sat.

"Ah! You must be Virgil glad you joined us! I just about to introduce myself." A man who looked like he was in his late 20s said.
"Come take a seat next to my assistant Virgil," The man pointed to a spot next to a very princely looking person. He looked as if he just cam out of a disney movie.

Virgil walked over nervously tugging at his sleaves of his jacket. He had sat down and the prince person smiled very widley at him. He did his best one back that was more of just his dead face but it was worth the try.

"Alright everyone! My name is Emilie Picani. And my assistant over here is Roman Albino. We are so glad you all joined us!"
"If the gaurdians would like to introduce their friends but if one of you would like to say it then just go ahead!" Emilie was a very happy person and always looked at the brightside just like Patton. -Patton and this Emilie guy would probably get along really well..-

Nobody had spoken up so the gaurdians started to say each of the names and point to the person.

"Greo" An old women had pointed to a very tall guy.
"Harper" what looked to be harpers friend pointed to a short girl.
"May" Mays dad said pointing to the person sitting next to Virgil, he felt like a small child in this group for he was the smallest.
"Virgil" Patton pointed to Virgil worry was still in his eyes but not as much as before.
"Klart" An old man pointed to a boy sitting across from him.

"Alright now introductions are done we are all going to take turns coming with more or my assistant into these two rooms, in there we will all try to atleast say a word but if thats too much don't worry we can come back to you after everyone else is done." Emilie stood and walked to one of the doors that said Emilie Picani and had a few Steven Universe stickers on the door.

Roman walked over to his door. "Alright Virgil you're up first come with me please!" Virgil stood up and walked to the door. He got let in by Roman and before the door shut they coud just about hear a small "Greo please come with me" and the door shut.

"Hi there Virgil! We are going to get a bit more used to this over the next few weeks so could you try saying atleast one thing. If you think a word is too much try just saying a letter and if you still can't do that we can either try again later or on friday. How does that sound?"

Virigl just nodded he was feeling very anxious and wanted patton to be in the room. Virgil saw a pen and paper so he wrote ^Can you get Patton?"

Roman nodded and went to go get Patton, Virgil was trying to keep himself together. Roman had entered again but with Patton this time. Virgil quickly hugged him.

"wow kiddo! You alright?" Patton was a bit concerned when Virgil just went up and hugged him. He figured that Virgil was paniking.
"alright you two good?" Roman was sitting quietly in the corner letting Virgil have his support.
"Yeah Virgil should be alright he's just a bit paniky at the moment."
"Right you said he has a really bad case of anxiety?"
"Yeah." Patton looked down at Virgil who let go and sat down. Patton sat down next to him.

"Alright Virgil can you try to say something. If you can't don't worry not everyone can do it first try." Roman was calm and reasuring Virgil.
"You can do it Kiddo" Patton held onto Virgil hand  squeazing it a bit.

"P- P- Pa" Virgil tried to finish but it felt like his guts was collapsing inside of him.
"That was excellent Virgil! Well done!" Roman looked very please with Virgil and they walked out. He gave his noted to Picani then called for another person.

It was now the end and they read out how well everyone did. With their consent obviously.
"Greo. You did great you managed to say apple.
Harper, you said orange very well done.
May you managed to say top!
Klart well done for saying well.
Virgil! It was a very good try well done."

Virgil felt a bit bad for being the only one not being able to say an entire word. Roman noticed and told Virgil that it was completely normal and the others have had other speech therapists so they would be a bit futher ahead. It helped Virgil but he wanted to leave.

"Alright thats a rap! I hope to see you all on friday. Keep practising! Next week we are going to try doing pronounciation so we will be all together for next lesson. Bye everyone we will see you next week!" Emilie waved to everyone as they got up and left. Virgil and Patton was the last ones left other than the instructor and assistant.

"How was that Kiddo?" Patton messed up Virgil hair making Virgil throw himself at Patton trying to reach Pattons to do the same except he couldn't reach. Patton laughed and so did Roman.

"You was a plessure to have Virgil."
Virgil had just about managed to say "Thaak yoo" Roman smiled and waved as they walked out.

"See it wasn't bad at all!" Patton was happy that Virgil did come.
-I guess... But too much human interaction time for sleep.-
Patton chuckled. "Alright kiddo you can sleep in the car and i'll lift you to your bed alright?"

Virgil was already fast asleep. Patton quickly caught him so he didn't hurt himself and put him in the car with his seatbelt on. He got into the drivers seat and started to play a song that Virgil always sleeps to and drove off.

Once they got home Patton put Virgil in his bed after changing him (Not a ship they are like dad and son),
"Night kiddo." He whispered and walked out turning the lights off.
"Niiite.." Virgil mumbled half asleep.

Hope you enjoyes the first chapter! Hopefully I keep writing more. This won't have a scedualed date it'll just be when I want to do it I guess.
